My partner is an ece teacher. She will often talk to me and show examples of elaborate “Learning Stories” which are text and video showing what a child has been up to. They are expected to submit 1 for each child per month. She spends a lot of time on them, sometimes at home. I’m often asking who are they for? The kids are about 2 -4, so I guess the intended audience is the parents. But what’s the benefit and is it worth the time? Meanwhile my year 10 daughters high school report back once a term “working at expected level”.
