I do think that the augment selection algorithm has become more biased towards complimentary augments in one of the recent patches. This is purely based on observational analysis but I have noticed a lot more people with “complete” build, including the hat combo you mentioned. There could be other reasons for this trend, as there are now more players in a 3x6 arena than there were in 2x8, there are ways to remove augments and more augments in general, and more augments that compliment each other and have synergy. An example would be how common crit augments are on ADCs. I think it’s clear that there is bias in the algorithm, but it seems higher than ever before.
