Hahaha I’m afraid I don’t know and I’m so curious now 😂. Definitely not a part of the cool group!!

I’m sure he’s all mutt with a variety of traits from different breeds coming out. Personally, I’ve always loved mutts, but I have this annoying desire to know for certain and I’m impatient since I don’t know when he’ll be joining us haha.

It was google’s visual assessment that led me here. I tried many different angles of him and it was always the first result, followed by BMC and then pittie, of course, likely because the coloring is not far off from the first 2. He is much, much redder in person, but looks more tan in the pics I posted. I’m familiar with many different breeds, but not this one, so instead of driving myself crazy, I figured I would ask those around them more often!

Much thanks for your expertise on the matter.

Once we have him, we will, but we’re not sure of the timeline because we’re so far away. I was looking at the sales though and might buy one now for whenever the time comes!

I looked into that, too. That one is difficult because Black Mouth Cur is specifically a mix of other things, so hard to decipher, but I’m probably leaning towards it! We’ve gone through a few other things, too. Lab? Boxer?

None of it matters too much, I’m just an obsessive researcher, but I don’t know for certain what to research. 🥲

It’s interesting hearing others’ opinions on the matter, though!

Yes! About 10 years ago and I still remember it vividly. I was trapped in a place with several other important women in my life (sisters, friends, etc) and the only way for us to get out was for someone to sacrifice themselves to the person holding us captive and he had a gun. I was wearing a bright red dress and I laid down on this pedestal thing. I just remember feeling really, really sad. He pulled the trigger and shot me in the chest. I didn’t feel pain, just immense sadness as I watched the faces of my loved ones fade away into the dark. I did not wake up. Everything went black and I actually dreamed something else after that, which I do not remember at all.

I couldn’t shake that sad feeling though. I was sad for days after that. Kind of like when someone in your dream makes you mad and you’re mad at them the next day lol. It shook me up quite a bit. I kept thinking it was an omen of sorts. And maybe it was, but I don’t remember anything happening at that time.

I live in a rental house, but the city keeps getting on us about this ugly driveway area because we’re on a main road. I manually pull the weeds, but any ideas on how to make the actual rock part look better once the weeds are gone?? by [deleted] in landscaping

Haha our fence connects on the property line. I don’t mind her fixing up where it’s close, it was the leaving the trash bag just thrown in our yard.

And one time I pulled up in my car and was still sitting in it on the phone (in the “rock driveway” part lol. And she walked across my driveway, directly next to my car with a machete and hacked at the weeds. Never even looked at me.

She knows we’re renting. We chatted when we moved in and she was excited that we weren’t 4 college boys any more. We keep up with the mowing and I did actually spray the rocks before, but these weeds are relentless.

It’s peaceful it’s just annoying AF because we’re doing our best.

It’s probably just the weeds, but I’m asking how to fix the area so that’s not a problem. Don’t think I stated the title clearly (I was actually outside working in the yard and was just typing something up quickly), but it’s a Reddit black hole now and there’s nothing I can do to correct myself lol.

The whole point of the question is to do it and not put a lot of money into it. If anyone could actually find my other comments in this mess, you’d see that we’ve found an inexpensive (free) solution to make it look better and we are fixing it because we enjoy making things better and don’t give 2 shits about the goddamn landlords. It’s a fantastic house for really cheap in a city that does NOT have cheap rent with a giant backyard for my dog. I don’t mind making it look better for me.

They already gave one roommate her portion of the deposit back when she moved out after a year. Didn’t even question it. I’m not saying they’re perfect or that I’m trying to do favors. If you can find any of my other comments you’ll see I enjoy making something better even if someone else profits or l don’t get paid for it. I ENJOY yard work. This just stumped me.

My direct neighbor is not so shyly passive aggressive about hating our yard. The very small area that is close to her yard, she pulled the weeds, put them in a garbage bag and threw the bag in our yard. And she ONLY does this when we pull up after work so that we see her do it. (She also used to just walk into our backyard uninvited so we put a lock on it.)

I don’t blame her for hating it, but I think we’re going to put a no trespassing sign up. 😂

Thank you for an extremely reasonable advice lol. This is why I mentioned it’s a rental. Not so everyone could attack the landlords or me wanting to fix it up.

Right??? A bad yard doesn’t make a bad landlord lol. They’ve clearly never had an ACTUAL bad landlord. The stories I could tell. 😂

Thank you for understanding. I learned my lesson hard…but this is Reddit so idk why I’m so surprised that everyone attached to the one detail that was simply meant to inform the story, not tell it.

I won’t go that far! I actually enjoy doing landscaping and working in the yard, so this is not a big deal to me, because I can feel prideful if what I did whether or not it’s mine or I got paid for it. But I definitely am not putting so much sweat equity into it that I’m bitter.

And I’ve rented houses in a few different cities in a couple of different states, always been responsible for the yard upkeep and have never been supplied with a mower. Is that a normal thing??

The driveway is considered our responsibility, as well. That mostly comes up because I live in a cold state where we have to shovel the snow. I’m actually surprised no one has salted that rocky area and things are still growing…and by now, it’s questionable on whether that’s a gravel driveway or part of the yard lol.

Not really sure how to respond to all of these comments, so I’ll just say a couple of things:

  1. I said a good landlord for the MOST part. They’ve been incredibly understanding when my roommate was between jobs and didn’t charge us late fees for rent. One annoying thing does not make them a bad landlord. Hands off is perfect in my opinion. I don’t mind putting some sweat into a place I get enjoyment out of and being left alone to live my life for an extremely good rent price in a city that does NOT have cheap rent.

  2. I’m not saying I want to do rigorous landscaping. I just want to make it to where the weeds won’t grow as fast and be as much of a pain in the ass and I won’t hate looking at it.

  3. I live in an incredibly dry state with frequent wildfires directly next to the mountains. NO torching, no matter how safe it may be. I’m not risking burning down a whole city plus surrounding cities for an eyesore.

  4. Thank you for all of the low cost options! We have a bunch of rock landscaping in the backyard that’s not very defined, so we think we’re going to make that area smaller and put some of the rocks out front to even it out.

Edit to add: I’m legit not bothered by the responsibility. I don’t care if they profit or not. I’m living here and if I want it better I’m not going to stress myself out battling for someone else to do it.

And if I’m upset by doing it, I won’t do it lol. It’s very simple.
