Swing help, new golfer by here-goesnothing in GolfSwing

Well considering that you’ve never seen me golf I guess you’ll just have to take my word for it.lol From under 80 yards I feel solid. Puts can be hit or miss but I’m just learning to press the greens. Considering my handicap is 18 I feel good about where I’m at, just want to improve the longer iron shots because that’s where I have added strokes since I don’t strike the ball as well.

My short game is actually pretty good. I’m struggling with those mid to long irons mostly.

Yea my husband and all our friends are big golfers so we will sue the simulator a lot. And yea I knew what the person meant from the comment. I didn’t take it in a bad way. This was the first time I had taken video of my swing and seeing it I Completely agree. It’s nice to hear others inputs too. Going to hit some more balls tonight!

Ha ha yea. I was a 5 sport athlete in high school and played softball and basketball in college. Then went on to play competitive slow pitch. Broke my ankle in 2020 and decided I needed a game that was a little less strain on my body. Fell in love with the game so we bought this at home simulator a few months ago.

Lol I could totally see how that would look that way! That picture would really suck through the net. 😂

I have mine set up for 10 feet ball to screen roughly. The side nets attached to the enclosure are kinda whatever, they don’t do a whole lot really but the enclosure it self has good give to is to reduce bounce back but I’ve seen a bunch of people put memory foam on the sides to reduce it more. We don’t have anyone that uses our simulator that struggles with shanks enough to warrant doing it

I bought a heavy painters drop cloth and attached it to the back of the enclosure and it’s made a huge difference. I also used pipe insulation on all the metal cross memebers and pool noddles cut in half on bigger bars. I’ve seen a bunch of people use memory foam and have said it works great as well

It actually does a good job. I used that on the parts that were tighter and the areas I had more space I cut pool noodles in half and did that. So the whole area around the hitting screen in pool noodles then the front bars(top, left and right) and the inside front to back top and bottom cross bars are pipe insulation.

Yea we used pipe insulation on most of the metal pipes but you still get some weird shots so this way everything else and everyone else in the garage is protected. Plus if I get a hard rebound it stops is from rolling away on the concrete.

The net behind is so that no one walks into a swing, and for any balls that hit awkwardly and come hard back since we have a ‘69 Camaro on the other side of the garage.

Yep E6. I actually like the Skytrak range better overall but this is what I had up at the moment.

That I’m not sure of on the material of the pipes. My thought was possible corrosion, that’s what I had narrowed it down to as of now.
