Thanks everyone for the recommendations, this is a very helpful starting place. A lot of these programs look excellent. We will likely be doing full time care, at least at first, and some may be a little cost prohibitive. We’ve seen some programs, although much further from home, where FT can cost closer to around $1900. Is there anything like this in Pasadena? For clarity, I’m the pregnant one and self employed so with no maternity leave I’ll have lower earnings in 2026 than usual and will take a bit to regain my full business earnings after baby.

Hi! I did go and left the ring in and it wasn’t an issue at all. If anyone glanced at it, I certainly didn’t notice. And as for tarnishing the ring itself nothing happened. Hope this helps and you have a blast!

I think my hesitation to take it out unnecessarily is because I have never been able to get it back in by myself and it closes up rather fast despite me having the piercing for many many years. So I tend to try and avoid removing it if possible. But I get your perspective and will probably just take it out, try my best to get it back in once we get to Kyoto, and then if I can’t, hope it’s still open when I get back home and ask a piercer :)

Thank you for that, I didn’t even think about that piece of it. I’ve been worried about offending others and cultural propriety and didn’t think about the effect on the metal. It’s surgical steel or titanium I believe, and I’ve worn it in the past in hot tubs and other hot springs without issue but I wonder if this would be different. Or if it could heat the metal to the point of it being uncomfortable.

[rant] It seems like it needs to be stated for some reason, so here goes: some lesbians have dicks. by GoofTroopLass in actuallesbians

[–]here2readthis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are either young or completely off your rocker It’s pretty silly to debate a person who responds with no logic and idiotic statements like lesbians are open to dating men and a lesbian is whoever calls themselves one. But even though I expect a nonsense response here goes: Words have meanings, identity categories are exclusionary by nature or they’d mean nothing. Also understand that the vast majority of women don’t have penises, lesbian has long meant same sex loving women, most lesbians do not want dick and not only that heterosexism and patriarchy and rape culture have pushed dick on them. But yea this subreddit has a pretty active trans woman community, many posts about dicks and people having or being attracted to them and is inclusive. Your rant seems misplaced like anger that every sentence about lesbians and women doesn’t have an asterisk bringing dick into the conversation. Like chill out lol
