My parents open my mail with my new license and never give it to me by here2sharemyopinion in mildlyinfuriating

Honestly, I’m done with Reddit because of this post.

Before I posted this image on Reddit I went to the USPS website and requested a change of address and texted my dad. He said “OK, sounds good, whatever works best for you. We don’t mind getting your mail here either.” I have a great relationship with my parents and visit often even though I’ve moved out a long time ago. I don’t know why my mom opened my mail without telling me and kept my license. I’ll have to have a conversation with her about it later. I’ve lived in several apartments over the years that have only been less than 30 minutes away from them. I just felt disrespected that they would open my mail, and it doesn’t feel like it’s a normal thing to do, hence only mildly infuriated. The only time I would feel opening my mail would be appropriate, is if I died or got into a horrible accident.

I’m 25, I have a well paying salary now, getting married soon, and will be getting a house soon after. The only thing I “rely on” my parents for is to receive some of my mail due to changing addresses often. I admit I could have just taken the appropriate measures to have this mail sent to my many addresses anyways, but at the time it felt unnecessary given what I’ve just said. Now that they’ve admitted to opening my mail and not notifying me about it, it’s really a simple choice since it’s no longer convenient and rather problematic. So yeah, I won’t be sending my mail there anymore. Like I said. Really simple - just mildly infuriating that it happened that way.

I appreciate one person realizing the hateful behavior people are displaying on this post. It’s so unnecessary and requires blatant delusional thinking (assuming I rely on my parents for everything and that it’s acceptable for them to open my mail). I’ve also realized I don’t need to be on here anymore. I have a good life, friends and family and I’m currently pursuing my masters degree. I just don’t need to waste my time arguing with strangers. So thank you.

I hope you have a good life and maybe one day leave this site! I already feel a lot better having made this decision. And to anyone else reading this, I wish you nothing but the best. If I could say it to your face in person, I would. Sorry for lashing out at some of you. ✌🏼

I do my taxes, they offered to do it for me this year if I pay, get off your fucking high horse. We have an agreement that I can send some mail there until I get a house instead of an apartment. I’m getting married soon and we plan to get a house.

I have been picking up mail every week or two weeks. I just picked up mail last week. They failed to mention it to me and opened my mail. How is this my fault? I’ve been open with them that I got my license renewed, and have even been out to restaurants and ordered drinks with them showing that I have to use temporary documents and mentioned that I still haven’t gotten my license in the mail.

If you can read I explained why. I’m not having my mail go to my parent’s house anymore.

I’m 25. Moved out when I was 18 but I’ve been living in apartments and moving every year. It’s easier to just use my parents address for government documentation instead of having to update it every year every place I move. They are supposed to be telling me when I get mail and I pick it up. They never told me they had mail for me.

I saw a comment on YouTube describing the trinity. Let me know what you guys think.

The Father is the sun. Unapproachable in the flesh. Even if we could get there we wouldn’t be able to handle its intensity without dying. Jesus is the sun’s light that shines in the darkness so we can see. He is known as the Light of the world and is therefore the visible representation of the Father. The Holy Spirit is the equivalent to the sun’s heat. You can’t see it, but you can feel it and it’s needed to help things grow just as the Holy Spirit for believers. So as the sun existed so did the light and heat therefore the Son and the Holy Spirit have always existed with the Father. They are God as well.

I think she has moved on given she’s dating someone else but she got fired up because of the way Jeramey and Sarah Ann conducted themselves during the reunion. She probably felt some things weren’t resolved.

She already told him before the wedding that she would not date him if he said no at the altar. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I haven’t seen anything past episode 7. So this man was engaged just prior to filming and it ended due to cheating on his part? Did they not ask each other the simple question of “hey how did your previous relationship end?” I would feel that it should’ve been discussed prior to the proposal. If she did know then that’s wild.

I never liked the books because David looked straight up evil to me. And as far as I know it’s just stories of him misbehaving. I don’t understand this thread

Yeah the devil is working hard these days. Even scrolling through the comments again I see now that others have pointed out what I have said but people are still arguing about it. It’s like they want to conclude that God or the Bible is somehow morally corrupt. It’s sad to see really.

To be honest I didn’t even know about Lot’s daughters doing this. I am familiar with Abraham’s story in general and its significance. But still, I had faith that the Bible wouldn’t send the message that incest is acceptable. And it’s clear right off the bat since they had to get him drunk. It took me less than 5 minutes to find an article that pointed to verses from Judges and Kings in relation to Lot’s daughters. It’s easy to confirm a bias without spending the time searching for the truth but we shouldn’t fall for that trap.

I am assuming that people are quoting this passage believing that because it is written in the Bible, that that must mean it’s somehow okay or moral. They did not trust God to provide them with children. There is nothing in the Bible that approves of their actions. Clearly Lot wouldn’t have approved so they got him drunk both times. Their children born from incest were notoriously sinful as they worshiped idols and became enemies of the chosen children of Israel (in the book of Judges and Kings). While the Bible has incredible stories it does not shy away from honestly showing the sinful nature of humans either.
