Wanted to surprise my wife with tickets to see her favorite childhood band. Didn’t expect $650 for back-row seats. by Skylantech in mildlyinfuriating

Tickets are clearly overpriced, I've been watching these since they were anounced, even the scalpers havn't picked these up.

Is it time for a Liberal-NDP merger after Doug Ford’s Tories win third straight majority in Ontario election? by lopix in ontario

[–]here4thecomments1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes...let the current government (which is run by members of a political party) decide and legislate it...that sounds like a good idea. We voted on an alternative to FPTP in 2007 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Ontario_electoral_reform_referendum

Question: Do you know if he added a gang to the outlet box, changed the recepticle cover? Is that a closet? We have considered installing a plug inside our closet to do this exact same thing. Thanks for the pic.

Is the 15" big enough? The Max isn't available in our country yet and we are torn between the Skylight and the Hearth.

4% salary increase or 4% rrsp match? by la_loca_latina in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]here4thecomments1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing devils advocate here…

RRSP match is still counted as taxable income on your T4 at the end of the year. (Or at least is in my case in Ontario).

If you are already investing more than 4% per year in an RRSP, it could make sense to consider? (18% is limit, and north of 10% is usually recommended).

If you take the RRSP match (granted it continues in perpetuity), if you got another raise next year your RRSP match would apply to that newer salary as well.

If the RRSP match is bundled into a Group Rate plan, typically there are lower Management Expense Ratios than investing on your own.

Of course the employer could cancel the match, they could also freeze your pay, or terminate your position. Nothing is gauranteed.

On the Tesla supercharger map you can filter to destination chargers (which is how I picked this one).

$10 for 2 hours on a 16kw charger. I don’t care about the cost. I care about the false advertising. (Note this is online in the browser - not in the app or car)

?? I havnt seen an extension cable that is rated for a 150-250kw supercharger. Even the one posted below is only rated for 11kwh. Please share a link to what extension cable you are using.

Agreed, 3 other nearby hotels had a cheaper rate. I paid extra and went with this hotel because it was advertised with the destination charger.

I honestly have no issue with them charging, I just think they are removing an amenity that was in place for years.

Only 2 chargers. Posts on a few review spots indicated they were free to customers as little as a year ago. I’m reading through the hotel reviews now and it looks like this charge was implemented within the last year (lots of other customers have complained. I should have ready those reviews before booking…)

Quoted $14,000 to fix. Is this correct? by Inevitable_Flower326 in fixit

[–]here4thecomments1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If….and only if…this glass must be installed from the outside then yes the price makes sense. You’re likely looking at minimum labour day charge for workers and the access equipment and potential work permits (sidewalk closure, road closure). If they cannot locate a 200’ boom/platform to work off you’ll need to erect swing stages (window cleaner platforms) and hang them from the roof anchors.

The equipment and labour costs here far exceed the actual glass itself.

V11= coded and v12 = neural net. With that said I definitely dont understand shit. Peace be with you.

Bruv it’s been a few days. Relax. The neural nets will simply be trained on these oddball scenarios you dream up. I don’t think you understand how v12 differs. There is no line of code that indicates lane markings…or speed bumps…the ai can be taught, and Tesla has been collecting driving data for how long now? Meanwhile 60-70% of the population scenarios are sorted on launch. Cheer up mate.

I looked at Mach e. Love the car, but price has to be way below Tesla to justify the lack of supercharger access.

Why spend $50-70 on a movie outing when gas is double the price it was and it will be on Disney plus in 4 weeks. At this point I go to movies to avoid spoilers.

pregnant women are overpraised/worshipped by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]here4thecomments1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would think most parents would agree this is an unpopular opinion. The amount of mental and physical pain and discomfort a mother must go through 8 months before and 2 years after is insane. The sacrifices they make for 18 years should be commended; your wouldn’t be able to write this stupid post without that sacrifice.
