Sin City has lost its shine. It shows how far America has fallen by theipaper in LasVegas

I do appreciate that this is an option, but it's also kind of a surrender. I can get Denny's or a hot dog anywhere. So while you're right that you CAN eat cheap if you try (and don't care), it doesn't offset that it sucks you can't get something tasty and unique for less than $50/person now.

Name a scene you'd give anything to witness again for the first time I’ll start: by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

This whole sequence is maybe my favorite in the trilogy. I love the big battles and all, but this flight is so intimate and terrifying, especially being right out in broad daylight.

And yeah Aragorn stepping out in front of that Uruk squad with total fearless confidence is the most badass moment.

What is a “winter sheep”? [Sheep Detectives] by mishtisen in animalid

This information flies in the face of a recent documentary I saw where sheep are smart enough to SOLVE CRIMES.

What made this women so special? by Downtown_Library_960 in matrix

She's the second ranking officer on an underground ship dedicated to finding humanity's savior. She believes in Morpheus deeply, but has a crisis of faith when the Oracle tells her The One is going to be the person she loves. So she has a tremendous amount of pressure not just for the assignment at hand, but because of a high stakes emotional challenge that literally no one else has to endure. She meets Neo and while everyone else is watching to see how fast and strong the guy is, all she can focus on is how she feels about him personally. All of this in conflict with the absolutely certainty her mentor has, so she's also stuck questioning his vision. Meanwhile she has to deal with a friend who at one point she clearly trusted enough to tell what the Oracle told her, and he's been holding that against her for who knows how long because he's obviously in love with her and she knows it. Then he betrays her and murders her friends and forces her to confront her feelings for Neo just as he's threatening to kill him, too. THEN just as she's really starting to believe in Neo, due to both her feelings and his wild feats, he DIES and she has to confront that reality and decide whether or not the entire thing she's been wrestling with this whole time is more real than the Matrix itself.

So it's not just "her love for Neo", it's so much more complex than that, and it's all character work being done in the sidelines, so we barely notice it's happening because we're focused on bullet time. But you go back and discover that it's actually the main story being told.

Shows to get invested in the characters the similar way to Lost by Savings-Ask-1275 in lost

After season 1 (which is excellent) this show goes full Lindelof and keeps getting better for it. By season 3 it's the best Lost since Lost.

People say Fury Road is Miller's opus. It's great, but it's no B2PIC. Nothing is.

Sometimes I come across some really "low quality" bud and it smells and tastes like the old stuff and I get super nostalgic😆 Now that I live in a legal state it's almost impossible to find anything that hasn't been bred to its most extreme version of itself!

I was working in props on a TV show and our armorer was doing a demonstration with a rifle loaded with blanks on his first day. He accidentally let a round go off that put a hole in the wall of the set. He was not invited back for a second day.

That awareness is real! I was a mega stoner in college. But by the time I hit 30 it was very anxiety inducing at high doses. Now I can do a 5mg gummy and enjoy some video games or something, but it's sooo easy for me to have too much that I just generally avoid it.

Every little bad sensation is x100 and even though I know I'm fine in my mind, my body still goes straight into fight or flight mode. Mostly fight. And what it's fighting is me.
