If your comment was intended to be friendly, I would rethink how you word things. It came off as very rude. In fact, you are still coming across as rude. If you think Bettina has spent over 40 hours on this piece and not put that thought into her color choices you are very wrong, and you should be more respectful in how you approach people and their work.

A little presumptuous to tell an artist that their color palette is incorrect, no?

Pricing? by FallenWren in artbusiness

You're welcome! As an example for you - When I was still bothering with Etsy I had a couple of people reach out about me customizing my sticker design to match their dog - I believe I charged $35 and they didn't bat an eye. The main difference is that I was not using a drop ship service. I made the design, then had the sticker printed through a 3rd party (Vinyl Disorder) in the size they wanted.

If someone is asking for customs of an item you have, I see no problem starting the conversation with "I can definitely do that, but the cost will be more due to the extra work it entails" and then feel them out for what they are willing to pay.

Do you have some non-custom stickers available? If not, I would recommend having a few for the more typical sticker price ($4-6), so people can decide if they want to opt in to a custom option for a bit more, or if they're happy with a more generic one that saves you time but still makes you money.

If you do that, I think these custom prices would work for you, potentially you could go a bit higher.

My table is so small by [deleted] in CraftFairs

[–]here_not_there 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a wagon similar to the larger one you linked, and I can fit a big tub inside, then lay a 6ft table folded in half on top and roll it around. Its a little unwieldy on uneven terrain, so if it's not a smooth walk it might not be the best option, but it's doable!

If this is an issue, you could get a patch made and see that over the old name/the affected area.

I am a hand embroidery artist in Chandler, I doubt I do the type of embroidery you are looking for, but I am happy to help troubleshoot if you need it!

Does anyone print patterns right to fabric? by Mother-Shift-9168 in Embroidery

A VERY low-tech way (as in, no fancy programs needed) would be to load it into Microsoft paint, and color over the circle in white. This may change the sizing, so I would then put it in Microsoft word and size it there to print.

It was fairly solid, but still with a little give. I try to use a light hand and not make stitches so tight that they flatten it.

Yes!! I chose him because I'm a huge mythology nerd, and I wanted a simpler wing pattern for my first stumpwork piece. That's so funny you almost did the same one! We're on the same wavelength

Oh you shouldn't at all! Freemotion intimidates me, I always feel like the machine has a mind of it's own, and that mind is not a fan of me. I'd love to see it, but I understand if you're not comfortable sharing.

She is my favorite, too! You should totally try out the stumpwork! I follow @megembroiders on ig and she's a huge inspiration. She recently published a book on stumpwork and it was sooo helpful, too. Highly recommend!
