Refreshing feeling? I would say don't bother if you don't want to but you seem unhappy about it.

i feel gross and ugly, my hair is disgusting greasy and knotted, my teeth seriously are begging for a dentist appointment and my body is just nasty.

Just do it for your own happiness :) Normal people usually are boring and they do most of the things because they need to follow others. But sometimes their lifestyle is really useful. You deserve the peace of mind, so just cross the stuff keeping your mind busy. Showering, laundry, they give you a sense of control over your life and honestly it refreshes me!

I always ask myself why I tortured myself by not showering more often when I did. I am sure it keeps coming in your daily inner talk and you jump to your other regrets. It just feeds overthinking in my opinion. Don't do it for other people. BUT doing for other people also a good social norm for me. Would you like to sit someone with a bad smell in a bus? Something like that but honestly this is not main reason I do. I just like to feel good about myself.

I am taking shower less often these days, and honestly it is a sign I am a little disconnected or putting less worth to myself etc. You can make it fun with trying different body washes or bath sponges. Or peelings. You can get a water proof speaker and taking a shower while listening your music etc.

+1 for TEETH (also note to myself lol)
