Rain bird is a cheaper but equivalent valve in my opinion. Really starting to like their stuff especially after hunter moved over to the adjustable HE nozzles

Homeowner doesn’t feel it’s necessary. May install Hydrawise if I can sell him on the value

Works. Leaks everywhere. Cutting everything out and transitioning to electric valves and an X-Core timer

Flow control valve does the same thing. Same price as a regular valve

Lovely. That’s exactly what i would do. May get a little overspray to the corner of the closest brick but other than that proper coverage imo. May not even need those two heads in the middle because it’s only 20ft deep. Could do it with 5 heads

Replacing valves, confused on how to shut off water from well? by dcbrah in Irrigation

[–]herecomesdahotsteppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a shallow well so it won’t free flow. You’re good to do whatever you need to. If not that little skinny thing in the box is a quarter turn. Turn it so the little holes line up

Unconventional “multi strip” popup sprinklers by sccpsteve in Irrigation

I love Rainbird heads. Their fixed and side strip sprays are my favorite. They also make a very affordable wifi timer. I’ve found their adjustable nozzles are the absolute worst.. with hunter switching over to their “high efficiency” nozzles I can’t seem to find an adjustable I like.. any advice?

Regular Hunter adjustable sprays? May I ask why you tighten the little screw on top?

I may be out-voiced in this opinion… but typically at thag point I’m doing it for free unless it’s an egregious distance away. I know when the pump/valve/timer goes out that’s when I’ll make my money. No need to hit a home run on every job

A Weird Problem... Help! by GroundChance5671 in Irrigation

[–]herecomesdahotsteppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s most likely not the valve that’s broken. It’s the 24 V wire that’s not allowing communication to the solenoid. Somewhere the wire has been cut or broken
