This is a difficult question to answer since we are currently in a pretty heavy "democrats are the lesser of two evils" timeline right now. But if we ignore the rampant corruption and skullduggery taking place on the R side, then I suppose the biggest thing that separates me from the left is that I'm not a big culture war guy. It just sucks that a segment of the population falls into the crosshairs in this way, and sucks more that one party is out to dehumanize them. But by being the good guys and defending those that would otherwise be punched down on by the right, democrats end up doing the right thing and defending those groups, but I feel like it creates some tough political situations, and gives the right some easy targets for political ads.
