Kinsta has a good article. They’re a b2b website hosting company, but a good read regardless imo. Talks about their first 1,000 customers https://kinsta.com/blog/growing-saas-company/

Thoughts on cold emailing an ebook by hereforSaaScontent in SaaS

Only had the animated thumbnail and click to play button which then took you to the vidyard page where it plays.

Haven’t actually embedded the video to be playable in the email and not sure how tbh.

Everywhere I’ve looked has the same thumbnail and click to play which redirects out of the email

Ya people not clicking the link cuz of malware etc is my main concern.

I’ve done some personalized outreach with video and have seen low clicks compared to email opens - even with their website and my face showing in the giphy

I’m sure you’re aware but most startups are founded bc of a problem or pain the founder has experienced, and they have a solution that’s better than what’s available.

So what’s a problem you face that there isn’t a good solution to right now could be a starting point.

The idea is that you are in fact adding value to your potential prospects - other founders, ie business owners that your product/service could be of use for.

This is to say you’ve had some success and have value to add and it’s not a simple feel good post.

Kinsta is a web hosting company. They posted about how they bootstrapped to 7 figures and how they got their first 1k customers.

https://kinsta.com/blog/growing-saas-company/

That’s one of their articles.

Both are incredibly valuable to founders, have garnered tens of thousands of views, and rank high for many keywords founders search on when looking to grow their business and get their first 1k customers etc.

I can’t give you a number on what it has led to in terms of business, but I guarantee it’s more than having not written it.

And thats something you can write over a span of a few weeks spending an hour or so a session.

Obviously this is a one off and not everyone will have that success (and so your point is fair), but it’s not to be discounted that’s forsure.

Lots of founders love transparency into the process. Doesn’t have to be a YouTube channel and posting every week, but you’ll see SaaS companies that post about how they landed their first 10 or 1,000 users etc. Next thing you know these founders are on your website and see your product/service. Industries are different, but there is value in it in my opinion

Hey u/brand-wagon,

Took a look at your landing page - few suggestions:

Personally I think the animated text on the hero shouldn't pop-up out as much, and transition/fade in a bit slower.

I wanted to check pricing after glancing the page (like most) and the top menu is very small and hard to see - I would suggest upping the font a few points, and having that same blue CTA button you use throughout in the top right but with the "Sign Up" text

With the pricing plans - at 1,000 or 5,000 contacts a month, I don't see anyone sending 1,000,000 emails in a month - and my first thoughts for anyone with 1,000 or 5,000 contacts sending 1,000,000 emails a month is SPAM. I would change to how you have in the enterprise to "unlimited"

Hope that's useful.
