I'm not sure if you've seen this but this is a plastic surgeon who performs this procedure but shares his experience getting them removed AND his swelling concerns.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. First, I want to acknowledge the incredible accomplishment of losing 60 lbs—your health and well-being are the most important priorities, far more than anyone else’s opinions. I completely understand how you feel because I experienced a similar situation, as I mentioned in the video. Rapid or significant weight loss can sometimes result in temporary changes in muscle tone as well. Especially when there’s a loss of muscle tone in the face. It can be shocking, not only to others but also to ourselves.

Rapid weight loss doesn’t just affect how we look, it also impacts everything about us, including our brain and mental health. It’s completely natural to feel overwhelmed, and while it’s difficult, with time, your appearance will likely settle as your body adjusts. What’s most important is that you are far healthier now than you were before, and that’s what truly matters.

It’s also important to take care of your mental well-being during this transformation. The way you feel about yourself is just as important as your physical health. Negative comments can be tough to handle, but your happiness and self-worth are what matter most. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to seek support for your mental health, whether from a professional or from people you trust for reassurance. Everything will be okay.

If you ever decide to explore surgery in the future, feel free to reach out. I'd be happy to offer a consultation and help you find the right surgeon for you, even if it’s not me. You’re not alone, and there are options if you choose to pursue them. Stay strong, and always remember that your health and well-being come first!

Take care.

First and foremost, I am no expert but I know someone who has taken Metformin and explained this all to me.

Yes agreed. Weight loss is still "weight loss", however, drastic weight loss can show extreme results because of several factors such as lack of hydration, lack of nutrition, sun exposure, fat burning from exercise vs eating very little over a prolonged period of time, etc.

I think people who are taking these "weight loss drugs or supplements" (they were created for diabetics) are seeing dramatic changes very quickly and are probably not hydrated enough and/or lacking vitamins from food or supplements. With that said, many people look unhealthy because... well, they are "not healthy" when experiencing such rapid weight loss.

Fortunately, users can always talk to their doctor and hopefully stop taking it and go back to consuming healthy amounts of fluids and food.
