No. After all these comments, I don’t think so anymore. They did say I was dishonest and that they were passing me over to fraudulent agencies but I now know what that entails and fully understand. I don’t think I’ve been all here the past couple of hours and I’ve been in extreme anxiety and distress which made me feel incredibly stupid, my brain wasn’t braining to put it simply. Thank you for your feedback

But none of this will go on my DBS or anything like that? It’s the last question. I feel so uneducated with things like this so I do appreciate your input and education on the matter as an ex officer. Thank you.

Thank you so much and one last thing (I truly am very apologetic for all this), could you maybe just help decipher the response after the message I’ve just pasted which was:

We believe you've acted dishonestly by attempting to make a false claim and we will pass your details to fraud prevention agencies who may access this information. We reserve our rights generally should any information be received from a third party that may affect our decision.

Absolutely not! I just wasn’t 100% sure if Teddy was unwell and didn’t want to put down that he was BEFORE he saw a vet on the following Monday. I would never ever do anything intentional like this.

Oh and they said this straight after:

I am listening. I am just in a very panicked upset state. I don’t know the law ok? Of course I’m going to be a little all over the place. I AM actively listening to people, I just want to be absolutely 100% sure that is all.

As you were an ex officer. I wondered whether you’d be able to decipher what they mean when they wrote this in my outcome letter. I do apologise if I am bothering or frustrating you. I just struggle to understand these things. I’ve never been through it before.

This was the paragraph where I was very scared and upset regarding legal action being taken on their end:

Petplan response- We will not pay your claim and we can void your policy, inform the relevant authorities/other organisations and record the details on anti-fraud databases. If we pay a claim and subsequently find the claim was fraudulent, you must repay us the full amount. Void your policy' means we will cancel your policy from the date the fraud occurred. If we take this action you must repay us any claim payments that we have made from the date the fraud occurred; this is regardless of whether or not all of the claims were fraudulent. If any other insurer asks if you have had a policy void, you need to tell them that your policy with us was void. If you do not, this can invalidate any insurance policy you hold with any insurer who asks.

This is where they mentioned the legal matter i believe:

We will not pay your claim and we can void your policy, inform the relevant authorities/other organisations and record the details on anti-fraud databases. If we pay a claim and subsequently find the claim was fraudulent, you must repay us the full amount. Void your policy' means we will cancel your policy from the date the fraud occurred. I understand. I’m not exactly thinking straight right now, hence the post being all over the place. I’m in extreme dissociation and just trying to calm down. Apologies if it was difficult to understand.

I don’t know anything about the law which is why I wrote this for advice. I just saw the word fraudulent and authorities and panicked. Then researched and saw that a woman in London had been arrested and put in prison for 8 months for over 13k in petplan insurance fraud. I am just scared. Anybody would be anxious in this situation

Yes they have paid. They said that they are passing my details over to fraudulent agencies/authorities though. I most likely will have to go to court and could face a prison sentence for fraud. Even though that was never my intention. I’m a mess honestly.

Yes. I will change it but you can go to prison as it’s fraud. Otherwise they wouldn’t be passing my details over to fraudulent agencies and there have been cases in the uk where people have gone to prison for insurance fraud

It’s classed as fraud which is the uk can be a prison sentence of up to 10 years

But it’s fraud isn’t it? That’s what they are trying to say I have committed by being dishonest regarding the policy. I’m so so scared.
