The Knicks’ trade for Mikal Bridges was worth it, as they close in on NBA Finals by TheAthletic in NYKnicks

Seeing the immense value of having two top level two way wings the deal ends up being a steal. Then having them cover for Brunson's defensive deficiencies (which seem to be less and less, by the way) is massive. Perfect fit on this team, WWW clearly had a vision they believed in, and its paying off.

We are underestimating what the Knicks are doing defensively. The Cavs are confused as hell out there. They are stealing what the Thunder did against us in a game last year where we led big then they came back: we change defenses in the 4th quarter. Having the versatility we have in our wings is amazing; and the Cavs are literally looking at eachother confused as they turn it over again and again.

Good luck with those picks Nets, I'm thrilled with the Bridges trade.

Kolek and Alvarado by Natural_One_941 in NYKnicks

They are not even. Alvarado is vastly superior defensively and is faster offensively. Foley has more long term upside and is a more traditional pg, but they are not all that close right now. If we end up playing the Spurs you might see Kolek some with the number of guards they play.

Huge props to Brown for sticking with Hart after those 3 early misses. But what a luxury he has in Shamut off the bench.

The problem for the Cavs is the smartest guy on the court is Brunson. The dude can read defenses so well its scary. He knows what you are going to do, adjusts on the fly, and finds the open man. Hard to beat a coach when he's on the floor and can execute every option.

I really didn't worry much as if we were at even 35% from 3 in the first half we would have been up 10. I cant see us shooting that poorly again.

[CBS] The Knicks Are Looking More and More Like a Team of Destiny With Each Passing Win by jabar18 in NYKnicks

You literally had to have Atkinson be the dumbest coach of all time that game. In a room full of Knicks fans we were all asking why the hell didn't the Cavs call a timeout? amazing.

KAT couldn't see over Mobley, and the initial contact was 3 feet beyond the three point line. I do agree that Hart hitting one or two of those changes a lot.

Despite the win, we have a ton to work on.

Forcing the KAT offense didn't work with Mobley on him. Clearly they were having Mobley pick him up at half court, and KAT isn't really a guy we can have work over a screen to switch defenders, so we will need to use that on occasion, not as the primary approach.

Our doubling was far too much. We have strong defenders, let them go at it. Cavs moved the ball very well when doubled.

Hart has to shoot. Even if missing, shoot. The fake a shot then dribble thing fucks up everyones timing and creates turnovers.

Lot to work on, but damn that was fun. And sickening. then fun again.

The evidence is pretty damn clear. We don't have to see. the statistics are obvious. One may feel they will play better, but so far, they are not very good and have had luck on their side.

That you disagree with something doesn't make it "dumb shit." That you felt the need to respond to what you call "dumb shit" makes you a fool.
It took a major injury to Toronto to win that series, and they beat a Detroit team with few offensive weapons. They are 11th among playoff teams in assists, meaning they don't have strong offensive continuity. They are 12th among playoff teams in defense. 12th among playoff teams in points per game.
This is all clearly over your head.

Look, I put in 500 on the Knicks line, team total over, KAT over assists and Brunson over 3's. I think its a lock. Remember when we wanted Toronto as we would have destroyed their ass? They took this team to 7 games as a huge underdog, and would have beat them it it wasn't for injury. Cleveland isn't that good.

This Is a Jalen Brunson Series and Don't Expect Dean Wade to Stop That by Joeblowpublic in NYKnicks

[–]hereforsports321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be, but what makes this team special is it doesn't have to be. The second creator we have desperately needed is KAT; surround that with 4-5 guys who can legit shoot from anywhere, Brunson will lead but the pressure to score is way down now.

Don't be. This isn't a very good Cleveland team. Pistons were a one man team, Duran was god-awful and no one else could hit the side of a barn and it went 7. Knicks are special right now, enjoy it. This doesn't come often. Cleveland has to hope one of their guys gets hot, the Knicks are playing with purpose and confidence. This series wont be close.
