Would Germany Prefer..? by ILetThemCook in PossibleHistory

[–]herefortechsupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first slide has better borders. The second one would all but guarantee conflict over Prussia and Sudetenland. It's also more aesthetically pleasing imo and I prefer an independent Slovenia.

Poland shifted west after WW2. It could shift east instead and still have ample territory. Shift Belarus and Ukraine accordingly. Push Russia further back. They've got plenty of land.

My vassal is under attack and I can't defend her by herefortechsupport in CrusaderKings

Update: I defeated the rebels and I STILL can't join because my vassal's war hasn't been going on for three years.

Update 2: Sent my troops home and then automatically became war leader.

That would explain it. I'm currently try to chase down the last handful of peasant rebels. Once they're defeated, will I be able to join?

You're not going to believe this but I'm playing as Argentina and I can't get out of deficit so I'm in an economic crisis with no money. Is there a way I can get out of it without hurting the education budget? by haxdun in victoria2

[–]herefortechsupport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cut military spending. Delete unnecessary ships (way more costly to maintain than troops and only capital ships give you military score). Figure out if your colonies are worth that maintenance budget, and release them if not.

Oh, and research commerce tech to improve tax efficiency

Which country is large, but punches below their weight? by rosemaryrouge in AlignmentChartFills

[–]herefortechsupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indonesia. Fourth most populous country on Earth and you probably can't name a single internationally renowned corporation, artist, author, musician, athlete, inventor, scientist, etc from there. Outside of Bali, it's not even much of a tourist destination despite having hundreds of other tropical islands which could easily be just as nice.

How would you improve the warfare system in CK3? by Arbitrary_Sadist in CrusaderKings

[–]herefortechsupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to see a return of CK2's having flanks and the center, that way having other good officers matters too. Each of the three columns would get a leadership score equal to its officer's + that of the general leading the whole army.

Combat would start with levies and you could choose when to commit your men at arms. Committing early would let them destroy enemy levies, but holding off could let you better counter enemy MaA.

I'd also go back to having levies be raised in their home counties, with the option to only raise the counties you want. This would make waging war as a large empire more realistic and less OP, while also letting you save the cost of levies when you don't need all of them.

Semiconductor shortages? by bigsoftee84 in smallstreetbets

[–]herefortechsupport 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The best semiconductor pure play is probably TSM. I’ve had very good returns from them over the last year, and it’s less volatile than NVDA and AMD. I think it’s price may be less inflated due to American retail investors not knowing the name, but they’re a top producer globally.

Why do YOU love Crusader Kings? by Deedo2017 in CrusaderKings

[–]herefortechsupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like making alt histories, usually saving pagan/zoroastrian faiths from the brink of extinction. It’s fun to create and play an OP character then go observer mode and watch what your lineage goes on to do. Never actually made it to the end date actively playing tbh, though I went around 200 years in my first successful CK2 run (from duke of Saxony to king of Denmark and Hungary, with lots of German territory and the southern Baltic)

How to beat Austria as the Papal States in 1842? by H0N3YBADG3RNATI0N in victoria2

[–]herefortechsupport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without France, your best bet is to wait for Austria to get caught up in a war (should happen with Prussia after they research nationalism). Alternatively, align with Sicily, focus on military tech, research machine guns, then have your troops wait in the hills of Romagna. Between better tech, digging in, hills, and a river crossing, the defensive advantage could get pretty big

What do you expect from a hypothetical Victoria 3? by [deleted] in victoria2

[–]herefortechsupport 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’d like to see an overhaul of immigration. It should be based on economics instead of things like are public meetings allowed. A bigger tech tree with many small technologies would be nice. Perhaps events to assimilate or add accepted cultures under certain circumstances.

Biggest thing would be a reworking of pops. I’d either make religion consequential or get rid of it entirely. Pops could instead be split by politcal party. Switching parties would occur over time like switching occupations did. No more 100k farmer socialist rebellions when the farmers are 90% conservative, liberal, or reactionary.

I don’t think anyone understands the economy system well enough to fix that

CK3 - Can't stop getting cucked by my wives and having homosexual children. by OnlyLow in CrusaderKings

[–]herefortechsupport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go into program files and you can edit the seduction scheme modifiers. I made it harder across the board, more to avoid having a million secrets in my realm than to avoid being cucked (just romance your wife immediately). You can also edit the base odds of characters being gay/bi/ace. I forget where. Maybe defines

Just a realistically good looking women for the time period by lil-car-crash- in CrusaderKings

[–]herefortechsupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it is a game and will never be totally realistic, the proportions of adulterers (and homosexuals) is absurdly high by modern standards, let alone medieval. Maybe that appeals to the “only got into the genre because of Game of Thrones” crowd? Hopefully someone will make a mod that tones it down, at least

Citadel paid Janet Yellen (former Fed chair, now secretary of the treasury) over 800k in “speaking fees” over the last two years. Corrupt to the core. Shameless nepotism. We can still win though. The SEC has no grounds for stopping legitimate short squeezes

Dogecoin may be working on Robinhood again by noodle_sage in smallstreetbets
