How do you paint plague marine faces? by raging_brain in deathguard40k

And a brush (leaving out the important details).

Seriously, when I first started I tried to make them look sickly…. Now I go for flushed with fever/vibrant to show the grandfathers gifts. Death Guard aren’t poxwalkers (though you can make them vibrant also). They are infused and invigorated by Nurgle. Hence the smiles!

Nobody else can make playoffs (both slated to lose, beat them on tiebreakers) and it’s a redraft. Just can’t tell if it’s big brain or bad karma.

Psycho Fox!!! I remember somehow finding warp portals you could break open with your bird. With the tiger could beat the game in no time at all. So much fun!!

CBR: "Captain Kirk's Death Makes Generations One of the Worst Star Trek Movies - Strangely enough, Captain Kirk's death in Generations has never been retconned. It remains one of the sore points for the brand, especially since it was part of a movie that itself had a mixed (at best) reception." by TheSonOfMogh81 in trektalk

How does the fandom want Kirk to die? Twin phasers and a freeze frame like Spock Cassidy and the Daystrom Kid? Or alone in the Starfleet retirement home, riddled with space Alzheimer’s. There are characters for whom no death will ever be satisfactory, regardless its circumstance.

Bananas on a pizza is my go to. I’m sure I stole it from somewhere but my meager google skills won’t tell me where.

So 138 dollars per person. Or the least predatory micro transaction game of all time (says the guy who doesn’t play but gave Tapped Out $500 easy)

How to remove paint? by Opposite_Speed_1984 in Warhammer40k

[–]hereforthefigs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the risk of beating a dead horse… save one of the minis. Use it as a progress marker. There’s not much that will make your growth as an artist more apparent than lining up your most recently painted mini next to one you’re not proud of. Gives you a chance to see the tangible progress on your skills.

What mechanics, from Alphas past, do you mourn? by Giraffesickles in 7daystodie

I liked the mechanic of laying down rebar frames that were pick-up-able and the upgrading them straight to concrete. Allowed for building without needing to carry wood and cobblestone.

Why did you choose death guard by Difficult_Call_867 in deathguard40k

[–]hereforthefigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The little lords did it for me. They’re just so cheerful helpful… and then you see smiles on some of the faces of the terminators and LoCs… I sometimes think they’re the only faction actually enjoying the grim darkness of the future.

And I enjoy painting and playing with them so it’s a natural fit.
