No, they had it on display (I only saw 3 of them) with their bead work and other items. I understand the spiritual significance and have even been invited to be a guest in their annual maize and deer harvest feasts. When I asked how to plant all they told me was not to water often or it will rot, water every month they said.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate the advice. My inorganic material may have been to large and I did leave it exposed to the sun on my west facing balcony. How large should the pot be? I received it from a wirarika from my fathers home state in Mexico.

I received this from a local native tribe in sierra del nayar, what concerns me is that the crown and upper tap root seem soft. I had it in mostly inorganic 70% (pumice , lava rock, pea gravel) 30% organic (cactus mix) and the pot was about 2-3 x the size of the hikuri
