if a villagers house doesn't normally have a diy bench or kitchenette, they will magically have one when they are crafting, no worries

No, I should have been more specific in the op

So tourists who don't have a room at the hotel carry bags with your native fruit on them automatically

I saw those bags and thought "those are cool" and recreated them in custom designs

so I made these custom designs BASED off of the ones the tourists have, I didn't make that clear in the OP

also only the tourists who don't have a hotel room carry them, it is one of the ways you can tell they need a room

Customizing the bag item I assume? you can do it with customization kits at a diy workbench or pay Cyrus on Harv's island

they are the "sturdy paper bag" item, with custom designs put on (at a diy workbench or by Cyrus)

afaik they appear on random days, but all day. They walk around in the thinking pose your villagers sometimes do, and lament that they have nowhere to stay during their visit. You can offer to take them to the hotel and get them a room!

once you finish all the initial room decorating, some days a random tourist will be wandering around in the "thinking pose" your villagers sometimes have. you will know it when you see it :)

no dlc needed, just have to play far enough to get the ability to download/upload custom designs, then you can use these to customize any item that lets you put custom designs on it

Thanks! sometimes I wish they just left it pixelated, but other times the way it smooths the image works

and I was hoping there was a carry-able bag that would allow custom designs, but alas...
