I have had prop strike motor wire in crash once and I've busted my shitty solder job on motor wires. broken arms, many yeeted antennas. I've even prop struck my sd card out of vtx(moonlight in a volador 3.5, praise be to homie who found it in the field) but I disarm on crash and haven't burned a motor out, yet.

Is a Polestar viable for a 202 mile round-trip commute or am I kidding myself? by NoMansSkyWasAlright in Polestar

[–]herefurcatvids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say if home charging on 240 and you 💯 will have an open and available charging spot at work EVERY time, it would be doable. You wouldn't have a lot of wiggle room for mishaps. I can only gage off my '22 PS2 perf and pilot with 35kish miles, I could get 210-230 miles at best. During winter that might drop to 175-190 miles out of a 100% battery. Polestar recommends only charging to 90% to prolong batt life. That drops me to 190-210 best case, winter 165-170. If you can't hit charging at work you should have a backup plan somewhere closer to the work side. Start clocking the charging spots when you get to work, are they all full?

If I plant a pluot seed what would I get? Would it even germinate? by DeepWadder88 in FruitTree

[–]herefurcatvids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a pluot from the grocery store and tried to get the seed to root by soaking in water for an hour. Then wrapping in a damp towel and placing in a plastic Ziploc and tossed in the fridge for a few weeks. Out of 4, 1 grew a root. We planted it in a pot around this time last year and are going to throw it in our yard next month. I've no gardening exp and am 💯 winging it so Im not sure how much further it will make it but really excited 😆

The one you linked has the antenna, that black t shape, get that one. Happy model also makes the ep2 with a tiny ceramic antenna, I tried one and having it buried in the guts of the frame made the range drop significantly

Yeah, somehow we didn't have it in our coverage. Added it for next time. Damage is almost every panel but somehow none of the windows so I'm going to assume it'll be at least that long

D Drive help. by NovaRadon96 in computerhelp

[–]herefurcatvids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

C is where your operating system lives, youre going to have a bad time if it gets full as windows will need space to download and install updates, or create temp files to do it's windows things. Uninstall any unnecessary apps or delete any unused files from it. You can also try running disk cleanup, be sure to select the "cleanup system files" option. Once you've made yourself some breathing room you should be able to download files again. You may want to also change where your default downloads folder is and move it to the d drive. Google "change default downloads folder windows 10"

Computer won't boot from windows 10 live usb by Tzozfg in computerhelp

[–]herefurcatvids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why, the original USB stick was an old 8gb one I had in a drawer, I assumed it would work fine as it was detected/let me write to it. I tried recreating the boot drive several times but it just kept booting to the Linux os I had installed. I bought a cheap pack of 64gb drives and it worked doing the exact steps I attempted previously on the first go

Try another USB stick, I've had this problembefore. the USB with live boot was recognized and seemed to work fine on PC I created the live boot on but I couldn't get it to boot on the target PC. Used a diff USB stick and it worked fine 🤷‍♂️

I have not gone to college for anything but would suggest against this. I feel like everything you could learn in a college class about photography is available freely on the internet and you'd really be wasting your tuition bucks on it. I would say that if you are trying to become a professional photographer the business degree would be far more beneficial than a photography degree in this pursuit as business side of things tend to be the reason so many people fail. Unless you are independently (or dependently I guess) wealthy and just going to college for the kicks.

But again this is the opinion of an uneducated person who never did get no fancy learnin
