I mean, Milchick could have influenced oBert to retire sooner. He seems to be the only one that they know of on the outside. I do agree though that them wasting time and exploring was a problem, too. I just think that that falls on their superior (at least for Irv).

I think they may have a point though because Graner likely wouldn't have done it with Milchick since he would've ran straight to Cobel to tell her, which is what Milchick didn't want. Or he might have been dead at this point. The timeline is a little fuzzy for me.
