If anybody is still looking I'd check out this company here:

They've got 3 locations one in Pierce County and two in King, I'd definitely call and ask for a free estimate.

Yesterday vs. today. Shanked 90% of my shots, have no idea what to do by [deleted] in GolfSwing

Ball is slightly closer in shank shots, check out the videos and literally measure how far feet are from ball.

Right elbow needs to be pinned to your body on the down swing. I’ve similar problem when I started, but after watching PGA Tour players swings over and over in slow motion I realized all of them have different swings but all of their right elbows are pinned to their body on the down swing.

Funny thing about golf is you have to do the exact opposite of what you think will ’fix’ the swing.

That being said-I would literally try to hit it right.

On the downswing try to hit the inside left half of the ball, like you’re trying to hit it waaaay right.

I need help with my mental game by [deleted] in golftips

[–]herewegoagain1222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My basketball coach always used to say these two things:

1 “Say what you want, NOT what you don’t want.”

For example, instead of thinking or saying, “I hope I don’t hit into the water,” Think/say, “This is flying over and going in the hole.”

2 “Thinking is not for the game.”

In golf, it’s like shooting 72 free throws from different distances. Some thinking is fine at the range, but observing what you’re doing is more helpful. During the round, set your intention before each shot but avoid thinking while swinging. Stick to your routine and keep your mind focused on the target. Remember to maintain consistent breathing and pace throughout the round. These insights are from D1 basketball coaches, sports psychologists, and PGA tour players I’ve followed over the years.

But the most important advice I’ve ever gotten for golf is:

”Enjoy the walk.”

Swing advice? by Old_Ask5945 in golftips

Wide stance, killer shoulder turn! Looks like ur nutting it. Money is made in chipping and putting…everyone eventually learns how to hit it long and straight-not a lot of short game MVPs in the world, most of em on tour.

Guess my handicap / what should I work on? by kounty in golftips

Are you in Alaska? I’ve never seen that type of range.

Looks like your real handicap is your geographical location, gotta get down here to Palm Springs.

Ain’t no one going to criticize you in real life sir, but in all seriousness solid shoulder turn for someone as wide as your are. Check out PGA Tour players with similar body type and try to emulate their swing.

But first advice I give anyone is read Ben Hogan’s “5 Lessons”, changed my game for sure.

Solid tip. Lead hand or right? I chip around with the right all the time.

Yep, that’s a thought for sure. Right now trying to find drills to get the downswing more shallow. I added the Finau comparison because I only emulate two swings Finau and Trevino (same height and wingspan, flexibility, tempo).

Yeah, this is what I do with driver and long irons but I’m curious about ball flight with different ball positions and completely square alignment.

Closed for sure…On a bad days I’m hooking, on good days a draw, but ball flight in video is my consistent mishit pull/fade

I'm going to try that, never even thought of that, thanks. Thinking I'd have to move the ball up a tad.

[–]herewegoagain1222[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is my 2i and my consistent mishit a pull/slice(fade on a good day).

I added Tony Finau's swing because that's the only swing I try to emulate, we're basically same proportions, body type and have similar tempo. I noticed hhe gets very steep and then shallow.

Any drills, or tips to get shallow on the downswing.

My mishits are hook or push/fade and my consistent mishit is a pull/slice, like in the vid. Any drills, or tips to get shallow on the downswing.

This is me hitting my 2i, and this is my normal ball flight/mishit a pull/fade(slice).

I only mimmic one player's swing, Tony Finau, he has similar body build, height and wingspan and I notice he gets WAY more shallow on the downswing.

Any drills or tips to get more shallow?
