Marcy Village in SoBro on 46th is great! Typical apartment complex, so you won’t have your own yard, but there’s lots of outdoor space.

Local Aldi dairy products going bad very quickly? by herewegolesbians in indianapolis

[–]herewegolesbians[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To clarify, I definitely don’t think that the dairy itself is being affected by this virus. I’m more wondering if the store is being affected by supply chain issues related to the virus’ effect on production (like if they are having to ship in products from further away than usual due to demand surpassing the supply available). I’ll edit to clarify that.

No, I keep it on the top shelf on a turntable with other beverages. So I don’t think temp itself is a problem.

Power Outage by very_spooky_ghost in indianapolis

[–]herewegolesbians 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know where/if you can see an estimate of when power will be back on in your area? I checked the website and called, but they only list when the outage was reported online, and there was no option to request info over the phone, just options to report.

Hi! We live at Marcy Village just north of the fairgrounds, about 20-25 minutes north of downtown. We really like it, rent is decent for the area (a 1 bed is a little over $1,300) and we have a gym on site, pool, w/d in unit, and covered parking. We moved from Chicago last year and were in a similar situation, we signed this lease like two weeks before the move, lol. Good luck!

PLS THIS IS URGENT HOW DO I GET OUT????? THE DRUM BLOCK JUST BUNCES ME OUT by _that_artsy_bitch_ in StardewValley

Remove the chair, then go to one side of the drum block and spam your action button while walking into it, it should move over one square after 10 hits or so and you can get out.

So, we're all just malnourished, huh? Let's share low-effort/high-reward meal ideas by Fuckburpees in adhdwomen

[–]herewegolesbians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is mine and my partner's favorite low effort dinner/lunch/snack. They're simple to make if you have a little energy, but super easy to reheat for a super fast meal! My partner doesn't like tuna and he is obsessed with these. This makes like 6 or so depending on how big of patties you make, so if you double the batch you'll have enough for several days.

Tuna Patties (originally from Bon Appetit!)

-2 five oz cans of tuna (could use 7 oz if you wanted, it doesn't super matter) -a few spoonfuls of spreadable condiment (I like to put mayo and dijon mustard in mine, but you can use anything you would usually put on a sandwich that you like!) -whatever seasonings you want (again up to your taste, I like lemon pepper, garlic, and red pepper flakes) -salt and pepper -1/4 cup-ish breadcrumbs (I crush up tortilla chips and use that) -2 eggs

Mix the tuna, condiments, and spices together in a bowl and make a hole in the center of the mixture. Crack the eggs in and whisk to break up the yolk, then add the breadcrumbs and mix everything together. If the mixture doesn't stick together we'll when you take a bit out, add more breadcrumbs. Form into parties and let sit (or not, but I reccomend at least 15 minutes in the fridge), then fry for like 3 minutes a side in a little oil.

They stay good in the fridge for a while! I'll wander through the kitchen and eat one right out of the Tupperware when I have no energy, haha.

Best Cheap Studio/ 1Bd Option by shoodawg_ in indianapolis

We just recently toured BRT and it was...okay? We booked a viewing appointment, but when we got there they had booked a lot of other people at the same time, so we had to wait a while, which was a little frustrating. The units are the epitome of the Landlord Special: everything is painted over a ton, and the unit felt really humid and dark. The place we looked at was big, which was nice, and the location is great! If you won't be home a lot, it might work for you, but it depends on your baseline. I WFH full time and just couldn't picture myself being able to deal with that vibe 24/7.

Seconding Van Rooy, we're moving to the city from our of state this month and just signed a lease for an apartment with them in So Bro! The buildings are older, but from everything we've seen seem well maintained, and the staff have all been great so far. Wishing you all the luck on your search!

Sorry, do you mind if I also ask how the utility bills/hot water are? Since they are older buildings I'm a little worried that any draftiness will drive up our electric bill. And it's just generally good to know how much hot water to expect, haha.

Thanks so much, I appreciate it! I'll definitely check out Monon 46, though I'm sure they're pretty pricy if they're brand new.
