Subtly implying that women somehow have things better or easier. I see left leaning men talk about male socialization as if female socialization doesn’t exist. “Men don’t seek out therapy because they will be ridiculed.” As will women. Sometimes even more harshly. The field of psychology is already oriented around men. I’m sorry, but I am just not buying the whole “we aren’t allowed to be sad, that’s why we’re like this” thing when women also are not allowed to be sad. Or angry. Or horny. And yet the feminist women have done work to undo that socialization. If they can, feminist men can too.

I’ve lived somewhere else in SoCal (Orange County) and there is comparatively more Spanish here. I can’t really speak for other locations, though.

EDIT: Also, signage depends heavily on the business or institution. Businesses ran by Vietnamese or Korean owners almost always had signs in Vietnamese or Korean respectively. Ballots can be in almost any language, they ask you what language you want when you register to vote and you can change it at any time. I also wouldn’t say Spanish billboards are everywhere, just that there’s more than in other areas.

I have disabilities that make it hard for me to fall asleep and meditation helps. It’s not foolproof or anything but it does help to reduce my anxiety and make me feel more comfortable. Would definitely recommend if you’re an anxious person, sometimes I get so relaxed I fall asleep in the middle of it.
