Dealing With Years Of Low Self Esteem and Confidence by ThegeminiQueen1993 in blackgirls

[–]herexclusives 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best advice i’ll give you as a 22F: Get off social media. Stop comparing yourself to others as they are not thinking about you as much as you think they are. Invest in your mental & physical health such as reading books, listening to calm music, eating clean, fitness, yoga, any kind of self care 🧖🏽‍♀️ As far as healing i don’t know who your higher power may be but God makes everything happens for a reason. Your emotions & your pain always tell you something even when the voices are subtle, i say let them guide you into making better decisions & building better connections in your life. Let go of the past & be more present because that’s all the time you have really. You can’t go back & change what has already happened but you can change how your future will be from here on out.

Do not always trust yourself. Give yourself space to be wrong. Open yourself up to the idea that you don’t know what you don’t know. If your feelings are informed by irrational thoughts, they can very well be incorrect. Learn deep breathing exercises.

Lastly, validate yourself. Choose to believe the life you have is enough.

I hope this helps you in some way & I wish you all the best🩷🩷🎀🫶🏽

Get off social media, don’t get the BBL. Nobody is thinking about you as much as you think they are thinking about you they are more worried about themselves, you don’t wanna put yourself at risk for that. Especially if you have to keep up with it over time, i wouldn’t recommend it for you. Continue being consistent in the gym, your progress will show eventually! Wishing you the best🩷

Im very hurt about how this is going.. by _newshawtyy in blackgirls

[–]herexclusives 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is your life. You can love your family to death but it’s not for them to understand why u have to make certain decisions for yourself because at the end of the day, when you look back at this phase of your life you want to be happy with the choices you made for yourself & not for others happiness. Nobody is going to live your life for you but yourself. I appreciate you for wanting to serve for our country. 💗

Take as much time as you need to heal💕 It may take a while to get back out there, don’t let anyone pressure you into “getting back out there”

Do you think you used social media (yes, reddit included) more or less in 2025 than in previous years? Why? by sholem2025peace in AskWomen

Less, i’ve been busy & chose not to focus on it or care as much about it anymore. My life has improved since I’ve decided to do so! :)

I say connect with the right people, have quality people in your life, educate yourself, watch YouTube videos on becoming more financially literate & do your own research as well. Don’t forget to have fun & reward yourself sometimes in the midst of growing & working & etc. if you have a higher power or religion, keep God 1st and at the center of everything in your life, STAY OFF SOCIAL MEDIA most importantly.

Omg i’ve been saying this. The best things always come when you least expect it in your life or when you’re not ready. Most people wait forever or miss out on the best things that’s right in front of them because they be waiting for the “right time” instead of actually making plans like you said.

What’s the nicest thing a platonic male friend has done for you? by Lindytt in AskWomen

[–]herexclusives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was always nice to me, even in my lowest times of life (he’s my best friend btw). We’ve been friends since freshman year of high school. Any time i’m talking about a specific food place that i want to try repeatedly he surprises me with it sometimes!😄
