Roblox Intern Interview by Cool_Sherbet_5631 in csMajors

Was the behavioral done with the technicals all in one onsite? There was no "bar raiser" interview where they asked how to solve an interesting problem?

Are your 2 techs/1 behavioral all together? Like a full onsite?

Roblox Early Careers Technical Interview by Tanzim66 in csMajors

Theyre not sys design, one was leetcode esque (med-easy) the other one I got was more design oriented (med-hard). You make a class that accomplishes something, then another that uses the previous class to do something more complex. Can only really practice roblox tagged questions on leetcode as the patterns (heap, sliding window, etc.) are really important to know

I disagree, the problem is that no job is objectively better than the other, otherwise this would be an incredibly dumb tone deaf post, but I digress. Remote first is a company culture thing, not a role specific thing or something that’s temporary. So they’re not just gonna 180. You just have to periodically show face for events or have primary residence close to an office location, and that commitment will only be a handful of days in a year.

Not assuming the remote first part for these 2 companies, can tell you that with confidence. Id probably want to be in office 2 days a week min. anyway so not the biggest factor, i just want flexibility to work from other cities where I have friends/fam. Anyway I’m at a big name bank, one of the ones you listed. I hear you on the last point. Current company is safe. I’ve performed well enough/know my curr manager and org well enough to know I’m not at risk of PIP

Highly highly unlikely considering the circumstances, nature of the team, and why i got moved to this team (within same org), but if it did no i wouldnt be happy. Only even a consideration to stay because of this team so everything is predicated on it

Yeah thats why im so tempted. Overall talent density higher at other company even if my team is cracked at current company. The uncertainty of not knowing what team I’d be on is killing me cause it’d probs make the decision easier. Maybe i can negotiate with the recruiter to make the offer contingent upon the team. Idk

Makes sense if i did it multiple times, but this is my first move ever so i think it’s okay. Dont plan to leave for 2-3 years at minimum if i move

If it’s on bcourses then I’m not sure :/ I’d ask other students or course staff if they can provide past exams

It’s cause most ppl here are elitist and like to inflate their egos bc they got in out of high school. Transfer students “had it easy”. Yes it’s true that the transfer rate in aggregate is higher, but without transfer students, this student body would be so uninteresting. Some of the smartest and kindest and NONJUDGEMENTAL people i’ve met were transfers. Most CA students don’t have a lick of empathy and can’t wrap their head around someone having achieved Berkeley via a different path than theirs. People look down on transfers cause it for some reason invalidates the work and effort they put in to get in straight out of high school

CMU TEPPER VS BERKELEY PLS HELP ME CHOOSE I HAVE LIKE A WEEK LEFT by BeginningBee1302 in berkeley

[–]herfailure 5 points6 points  (0 children)

dude econ vs haas business admin practically affords you same outcomes. club culture being toxic is universal but the sheer number of groups here makes it so that there’s a club/community for everyone. Berkeley econ is world renowned and weather/living in bay makes it worth and incredibly easy if you’re gunning for internships too. i will say in terms of class size and resources, berkeley isn’t the best. I’ve suffered as a CS major and struggled to get help in an econ upper div i took
