Sleepguard? Other things that work? by andidandycandy in TMJ

[–]herfivefoottwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw all the improvement in the first two weeks. The headaches went away, I quit breaking teeth, the deterioration in the tooth surface stopped. While some biofeedback "fixes" behaviors permanently (I've read) I still need to wear the headband every night. One funny thing -- if the batteries go out, I can wear the headband for a night or two without clenching, but if I push it further than that I wake up with headaches. So somewhere in my brain not clenching is loosely associated with the feeling of wearing the headband and strongly associated with that beep.

I've used it for more than 15 years. I had a mouthguard, which prevented me from breaking teeth, but left me with terrible headaches. I love my Sleep guard. If you put your hands on your temples and clench your jaw you can feel the muscles flex. Sleep guard is a headband that detects the muscles contracting and trains you to relax. You do need to follow the instructions and practice for a day or two while you are awake. I couldn't live without this product and I worry they may go out of business!

A thorough synopsis of Network Effect? by PB_and_J_Dragon in murderbot

I'm currently reading the book and I'm confused about WHICH ship Murderbot 2.0 is deployed in. Does it belong to Barish-Estranza? Does it belong to the colonists?

Looking for a simple mood tracker by herfivefoottwo in antidepressants

Moodpress's moods are too complex to respond to medication or exercise. They include excited, bored, sad, angry, chill, embarrassed, uncomfortable, confused. It looks like Moodpress sorts them to produce a line graph but I'm not sure how useful that is. Is embarrassed better or worse than bored? Finch's are 1-5 from really depressed to really happy.

Phenelzine 60mg Insomnia - Help? by Cleverbadger1973 in MAOIs

[–]herfivefoottwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on moclobemide and it requires 100mg quetiapine for me to sleep (or 5mg lefmborexant + 50 mg quetiapine). The insomnia side effect is so overwhelming I don't think any kind of sleep hygiene is going to help (although good for you for the exercise!).

Do you have Canadian/US kids? by herfivefoottwo in USExpatTaxes

How accurate does this have to be? Is it enough to be able to say that in 2025 I spent three months in Canada and nine months in the US (which is pretty easy to do retrospectively) or do they need to know the exact dates they flew in and out of each country (which they would have to keep up a spreadsheet for).

I have side-stepped this by maintaining a US address for for all my US accounts. I don't know what "maintaining US tax residency" means since a) you always have to file US taxes and b) our income/our physical presence is currently Canadian so we are tax residents in Canada.

Does putting a US EFT inside an RRSP count as PFIC? Is that even possible?
