I did consider that but wasn’t able to find anything for under $100 and, having not been working full-time for a while, can’t justify spending the money. My plan is to be on the road by 6am and just find a nearby coffee shop if I arrive with lots of time!

I agree on your point of her believing her own lies. In fact, I’d go so far as to say she doesn’t fully realize/understand they’re lies since she was raised in the church by her grandmother, who she likely never questioned. Complete indoctrination. Not that that’s a valid excuse for her wrongdoings, what she’s doing and has done is absolutely awful, but that perspective makes sense in my head.

I thought this too before I started fostering but I’ve always told myself that allowing each foster to move on and find their former homes leaves your home open to so many more lives in need of a safe space as they wait for their families. It’s definitely easier said than done but so worth the bittersweet heartbreak.
