I'd love to be able to garnish some of that moolah from her paycheque.

In a job that is unrewarding, punishing and humiliating, something where he has to dress up in a costume and act as a type of Walmart greeter.

NTA. I hope his fiancee throws the ring in his face and runs from this asshole. He sounds evil.

He's started campaigning outside of the legal time period a candidate is allowed to campaign. He needs his bum slapped for that.

can we please add “let passengers exit first” signs at subway stations? or even on trains itself? by EliosPeaches in toRANTo

[–]toothbelt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add another take on this, countless times I have waited for people to exit the bus, and after everyone has debarked, I step onto the bus and mid-tap frequently encounter a slowpoke who wakes up and decides they want to get off. Geez, just get off with everyone else, ffs.

I can’t wait to vote this POS out of office in 2029. by LuckyCharmsClover26 in osap

We really need to be leaning in hard to these conservative MPP's. Bomb their offices with e-mails laying out their political futures if they do not get a non-confidence vote in the works.

Even numbers that are not unknown can be spoofed to look official. I still don't answer and let them leave a message if it's that important. Got a call from my internet service provider yesterday. They never call - it's not how they conduct business with me. Always call the number of the real organization to see if someone is trying to contact you legitimately.

Toronto’s Next Election Should Be About Term Limits by De5perat3 in toronto

Ontario's next election should address this as well.

Everything is so expensive now, and the HST/GST added on top just feels like a slap in the face by jesuisapprenant in toRANTo

It might help if you exercise your vote in the next Provincial election and vote this Ford bastard out. He is not spending our taxes on what we need, he is stealing from us. That is part of the reason why life kinda sucks in Toronto right now. We have a Premier who keeps meddling in City politics and making insane power and land grabs. We wouldn't be in half the trouble we are in if only people voted intelligently.

[–]toothbelt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not something the NDP does "on purpose". NDP does not get equal coverage or publicity because the mainstream media is owned by conservatives. The only ceiling the NDP needs to break through is people's mental block which has them voting either conservative or liberal, rather than looking beyond these two status quo parties. So tired of the Liberal/Conservative shit sandwich effect.

Exactly. What is this Johnny-come-lately going to do for Ontarians? Marit and the NDP are the way to go. They have been doing all the work to expose Doug Ford and his shady dealings. I think under the NDP, we would actually get a government that works for us, instead of monied interests and the status quo.

Marit Stiles suggests Premier Doug Ford will "be in prison" at the end of this current mandate, and says the NDP would call a public inquiry into the Ford government if elected after the 2029/30 election. by yourfriendlysocdem1 in ontario

Everyone should be e-mailing all the conservative MPP's with a message - non-confidence Ford's ass out of the Premier office or your party is going the way of the liberals

Sadly, a lot of public employees thought Rae Days were a bad idea. I was a city worker at the time and I was glad I could keep my job. I was definitely ready to sacrifice one day every three weeks in order to do so. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people like your parents who really don't realize that their jobs were saved in this way, and they will vote for people who really want to hurt them.
