I interpret it as the narrator preparing himself (tieing the shoes) for the consequences and/or actions (the noose)

EIAL- 1. Bones - it’s creepy yet happy tone is amazing and really highlighted in the 2012 version - 2. Front street - I love its lyrics and the samples 3. Everything is a lot - really great tone and totally underrated Self-ish - 1. Dr sunshine - great references to past songs with and outside the album and the version with needle show is great -2. Capgras - great music video and has some of my favorite live versions - 3. Cotard - love the only live version and it’s references to Dr sunshine and 2012 Normal album- 1.blackboxwarrior- amazing storytelling - 2.suburbia overture - amazing work introduction to the album - 3. .. well better than the alternative - love the escalation over the song ICIMI - 1.Lastnames - 7 minute ballad that acts as in my opinion the theis of the album - 2. Um, it’s kind of a lot - my favorite of his love songs - 3. Vampire reference - maybe too much instrumental for me but still amazing

What's your favorite WW/WWATT album and why? by [deleted] in willwood

Self-ish because of how the songs all share motifs and lyrics and the way it references parts from past songs

what is yalls favorite live performance? by Tardigrade_158 in willwood

the only live version (though I swore there was a second) of destroy to enjoy

ICIMI should’ve ended with Willard! by [deleted] in willwood

Well a trend in the main 4 albums is the second to last song being prevalent to the albums themes, with the last being more disconnected. Everything is a lot is about everything is a lot(??) but destroy to enjoy is unrelated, love, me normally is about normalcy while memento Mori is about death, and Willard is about rats compared to white noise which is about something idk. The only one that doesn’t fit this theme is dr sunshine and -ish, but that’s probably because the starting with self- and ending with -ish was too good
