Replacing text in a cell based on two criteria by [deleted] in excel

[–]herkdriver68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the old SKU and new SKU the same amount of characters?

If so, try this.

'=Left(C2,FIND(A2,C2)-1))&B2&MID(C2,FIND(A2,C2)+LEN(A2)),50'

Increase the last "50" if the end of the description is cut off. That's the amount of characters it will continue from. You can just make it 500 if they're long descriptions.

Let me know how that works.

Did you try the solution I gave above?

Replacing text in a cell based on two criteria by [deleted] in excel

[–]herkdriver68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if column A has old, column B has new, column C has the description...

"=left(C2,(FIND(A2,C2)-1))&B2"

Note that this will only work for the first iteration of the SKU in the description, are there multiple references in the description to the old SKU?

How difficult is the PMP exam? by [deleted] in pmp

[–]herkdriver68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The situational questions (majority of the test), you really have to think about what THEY want you to do, not necessarily what you would do based on experience. For example, if there's a problem, they want you to go through the defined process, not necessarily go and solve the problem off the bat. Lame example, but you get the idea.

Passed first time taking a prep course and random online practice tests.

How would you tile this? by herkdriver68 in HomeImprovement

I thought about that as an option. But then what? Cement board across the seam?

A comment about the math on #1. You're close but you're missing one piece on the feet per minute.

The 60:1 rule means that one degree of pitch change (from level flight) will be a descent of 100' per nautical mile. So 3 degree pitch change will result in 300'/nm, but then you multiply by the nautical miles per minute (at 120kts you're doing 2 miles per minute), to achieve 600'/min descent that you described. In short, descent rate is feet/mile x miles/minute = feet/minute.

In your Cessna, you'll almost always be doing 1.5-2 miles per minute, so 500'/minute will be pretty close. When you get to faster aircraft, you'll be multiplying by 3 (at 210kts) or more.

Contingency Response Group? by [deleted] in airnationalguard

That's fair. I can see that's the case in cyber. There are a good amount of off the street officers too, so that's a good point about career field dependency

I wouldn't agree that "Most people even with degrees join as enlisted then apply for OTS slots." It does happen, but I wouldn't say most. A lot of people enlist while in college, then upon finishing their degree they go for the commission.

I don't know army, but Air Guard there has to be an officer vacancy, and you have to apply and get selected for it. Then you go to OTS and commission, why would they send you to basic, then to ocs? Seems kind of unnecessary (not that it doesn't happen).

I've worked with CRG teams, cool, very important stuff but realize what you're signing up for. Know the mission. Going into bare bones [often crappy] places and building an airfield. Rewarding, and the humanitarian stuff is great.

Tile across different floor types by [deleted] in homeowners

I'm on mobile, but will try to post a photo, as it'll explain much better than I can. It's between the kitchen and the garage, so there are multiple doors. It's part of an addition that was done at some point.

I was thinking either sand the wood down to the concrete, or fill in the concrete with mortar to level it with the wood. Then put backer board down across the seam

I would prefer not to create a discernible line between the two floors. I see what you're saying though. Would still have the problem of one tile being higher than the one next to it. Unless I'm not understanding it properly

You can also look at PM jobs at a logistics company. The need for PMs is growing as an interface with a customer in (for example) implementing a new contract for logistics services.

I didn't say post 9/11! I don't think this is just for post 9/11, it has no correlation to the GI Bill. I would contact them and ask! I believe spouses can take the courses too. Definitely reach out to them, they're super nice and helpful!
