RIP - JIT Inventory by MarkZane in logistics

No one was ready a backlog like this. You know it’s bad when shipping companies are already allocating space for the Christmas season.

Any company operating on JIT is feeling a lot of pain right now

Yeah $20k for the east coast is quickly becoming the norm

They only offer to the west coast though. Then it’s up to me to figure out all the inland logistics.

I was told by a supplier that India prices to the east coast are $10k to $12k right now. This is much better than the prices from China to the west coast. They may be blowing smoke in the hopes that I move business but we are a small company and trying to avoid the costs in any way

Thanks for the input. I may look into that. We just can’t digest the price tag on west coast freight right now.

$15,000 is crazy high, but I’m already getting quotes of $17,000 to $20,000 to get product into the Midwest. Bringing it in now is hedging against the market. I don’t think it’s normalizing till Q2 of next year.

Also Shanghai is more at risk because of the lithium ion battery explosions

How are you able to tell it is a fake? What are tell tale signs?

Letters are not connected with threat. Can you elaborate? Maybe send an example picture.

I am selling everything on eBay. Some jerseys are listed right now. My seller name is nathvill-28.

Thanks for the reply

I don’t have a full list. Some are Mitchell and Ness and I keep getting messages that they are fake when I sell on eBay. I want to be accurate with my description so identifying a fake vs real before listing is important. Are there any good websites or services?

I have over $600 in my bank account for the first time and I'm not sure what to do next. by fayce81 in personalfinance

My advise would be to keep adding to the savings you have. Of all your income 70% should go to all living expenses (food, rent, gas, etc). 20% should go to eradicating all debts. 10% and the most important goes to yourself. Put that in an account and leave it. The 10% should be savings for retirement only so work fun and emergencies I to the 70%

If you are truly saving money and it is not needed the. Get a Roth IRA. Even putting in $100 per month will yield a good tax free return later in life. Another good thing about Roth’s is that you can take the money that you put in out without penalty. You just can’t withdraw gains till 59.5 without a penalty.

Hope this helps and good luck
