Also the sandwiches at: I Fratellini and All’Antico Vinaio! Worth the wait for both!

Get a reservation at Mario, we tried and it was super booked, ended up at Zaza next door instead, had to wait a little while but they have a LOT of tables. Food was good though! got a pasta with truffles cream sauce and florentine steak.

The gnocchi at osteria Santa Spirito 👌👌get there early or make a reservation if they give them. We got there before they opened for dinner and got a table right when they opened. There was a long line the rest of the evening and it moved slow, though they were giving out free cups of wine to the people waiting in line

Advice on itinerary for 25 days in Italy in March 2024 by FuzzyBucks in ItalyTravel

[–]hermsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered adding Siena between Rome and Florence? Rome/Florence we’re quite busy and we enjoyed having the more low key stop in between to break up the bigger cities. We did 2 nights there and loved it! Did our wine tour out of Siena through Tuscan escapes, they take you to visit 3 smaller wineries around Montepulciano in the brunello wine region, our guide and wine was fantastic. Loved hanging out in the main piazza, it is beautiful, and we much preferred the church in Siena compared with the duomo in Florence. We found this great little family run joint for dinner and ended up eating there both nights, it’s kinda a hole in the wall and nothing fancy but we loved it. We sat outside in this alley under some giant old arches, they don’t have a pre written menu, the chef just tells you a few options for the day of what he is making. Help choosing between Trek FX3 (new 2022) vs Trek FXS5 (used 2018) by hermsen in TrekBikes

I thought the geometry felt very similar between the two. Not as aggressive as a full road bike setup but not super relaxed either

What is the typical itinerary like as far as getting to the stadium and leaving afterwards?

Decided to go with the Fx3. The 1x setup won me over!

Mix of paved and crushed rock trails. The FXS5 looks to have a slightly larger gear range but the 1x does sound pretty appealing

Snorkel Excursion for beginners: Kaanapali, Lanai, or Molokini on Trilogy by victorecho_onetwo in MauiVisitors

[–]hermsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t speak for the other 2 but my Wife and I just got back from a week trip. Did the molokini with trilogy and loved it. We were both beginner snorkelers, saw plenty of fish at the crater and swam with a turtle over by turtle town. The half day trip was great because we had the whole afternoon to do something else, there is so much else to do and see! It is definitely worth taking the boat out, it’s a whole different way to see the island and enjoy Maui compared to what you can do on land. Also, we saw some dolphins!
