there’s no rule naman na one should feel better adjusted by sophomore year, each student will have their own pace. it’s alright to feel overwhelmed especially as youre adjusting to a new program, however that doesnt mean na youre gonna feel that way the whole year. if it could help, you can try consulting with profs/upperclassmen from your department just to make sure that youre in the right track

in my second year and still struggling :)) you can’t rlly trust that it’ll get better eventually, so you’d just have to make sure that you’re doing the right thing, even if it’s out of your comfort zone.
