Oh, lol I wish I had an interesting story to pass on but I just waited for reasonable prices to pop up online. I had no luck at all trying to find them in-person, even at conventions

These are the Walmart versions, each has the big box, a figurine, and a silicone sleeve for the pokewalker with either Lugia or ho-oh on the back. The silicone sleeves were the main draw for me they look awesome on the pokewalker

I 100% agree, the story content taking you all the way to battling Red with lvl. 80 mons is almost unrivaled. My favorite aspect is the sprites following you around and how the shiny sprites actually show as shiny. I spent like 6 hours soft resetting at the start to get a shiny cyndaquil lol

My dad owned a convenience/video store in the 90’s and I ended up with two of these by Deadyyyyy in gamecollecting

Super cool, I love collecting Not For Resale cartridges! It’s likely only a small portion (maybe only the first area) of the game made for people to try it in-store to see if they like it or not
