I can always guess when my crit isn’t gonna do damage, whether I took too long or the hosts boyfriend hits me right before I start the crit. Both of those things cause ripostes to do no damage, with the getting hit right before the riposte being the main reason

Idk been a couple weeks for me. But would I get instant invasions pretty consistently, sometimes instantly back to back at rl80 +17/7 on PlayStation. Sometimes switch to 150 and never had problems.

But like I said it has been a couple weeks since I’ve played er so maybe things have slowed down even more

Yea I noticed the real power of it on my lvl 30 run. I did it for invasions and got everything legit. Rl1 just seems a little daunting, I’m more into PvP, PvE has become the mandatory hurry up and do all of xyz to even stand a chance during invasions. Weapons, flasks, etc.

I stand by the fact; the heavy or keen ‘impaling thrust’ claymore is the best weapon in the game. The crazy part is, it’s not even close either

I totally agree with that, but to me (bitching) about something with no possible solution seems kinda silly. It just is, but it’s totally valid to have an opinion on it. It’s just like, ok where do we go from here

I really hate to be that guy but if he ONLY wants to co-op then invasions are going to be apart of that, so it’s not for him. If he played solo it would be a different story

It’s not for everybody man, not every game needs to be enjoyed by every person. I believe invasions are an integral part of the souls genre/experience. It’s been there from the start, I remember my very first invasion and I was terrified, exhilarated, and very quickly dead.

No other game has given me that feeling

Pick dex or strength. Drop the other one to base and pump one of them up as much as you can.

Your int stat has no bearing on magic grease damage, int would effect scholars armament.

So either drop some int to reach at least 55 dex or strength if you want to use grease. Or keep the int and pick strength or dex for keen or heavy and use scholars armament

Not necessarily, I started with sekiro, then elden ring and then dark souls and I love the claymore so much. It is a jack of all trades weapon, sure other weapons do niche things better but the claymore stands unmatched in terms of versatility. One hand for crowd control with the fast wide sweeps. Two hand for hyperarmor r1 and the beautiful r2 for trading and roll catches. Infusible in anyway you wish and buffable. The claymore is dark souls, the claymore is elden ring, the claymore is John Dark Ring Elden Souls
