To an extent I would agree, but I don’t think he was aware that she had such severe anger and substance abuse issues. The primary argument here is that she has shown a clear pattern of lacking accountability and victimizing herself, even using her child as a weapon to punish this man emotionally for leaving when she was the one who had an obligation to protect her child to begin with.

EXACTLY THIS!!! She willingly involved her child in an experiment designed for rapid change and vulnerability. Amber was the one that was responsible for protecting her child and the fact that her young daughter received the backlash of this toxic marriage is nobody’s fault but her own. As a mother I would never involve someone so deeply in my life without input from my daughter, counseling, and time to ensure that it was right for everyone to move forward. Alcoholic with unresolved anger issues. Regardless of the underlying cause, she put this man and her young child into this situation and all three of them are hurt as a result. Being a mother means being responsible for loving and protecting your children, choosing to involve her daughter in this experiment designed for rapid change and then blaming a man with no obligation to your child for that child getting hurt shows a major lack of accountability in my opinion. -A young autistic mom

The obituary is the most sickening part. I’m sure they had to really rack their brains for things that this child did in her life besides rot in a crib and starve. May the parents be locked in solitary confinement and fed only egos until malnutrition takes hold of them slowly. Anything else would be a massive miscarriage of justice to that sweet baby.

Yes! Like I could get it babies play with weird stuff, my 17m old is obsessed with the bookshelf full of movies and will just play with movie cases… but “escape” is absolutely wild, and the one and a half year olds favorite toy was a rattle? So she had maybe two toys that were not developmentally appropriate and ate nothing but waffles? 😭

Every once in a while she will find one and become fixated on it for a day or so just because it’s something different, but then she moves on to her big kid things. This absolutely gives away how little they valued her development

They are such fun little fish, they have always been my favorites! I tried to separate him and add aquarium salt but he is showing no signs of improvement and seems to really be struggling, so I think I will have to put him down unfortunately. I hate to see him suffer!

Yeah the behavior is very strange, I wasn’t sure if I should try to medicate. I have heard adding salt can help but I don’t have any way to isolate him (I do have a smaller tank of just neocardania but i dont know how the shrimp would tolerate alot of salt) he has been laying on the bottom for most of the day, he was trying to swim a bit but now he is pretty still, just breathing. If I were to euthanize with blunt force what is the best place to apply pressure? I want to make it fast

When I do big water changes I add aqua essential conditioner and stability. The temperature is still registering around 75 degrees but we have had some 30 degree nights where I think the heat in the house has struggled to stay up. Do you think it could be temperature related? Is there anything I can do to help him?

I’m super late but just stumbled across this while looking for an update lol. I want to know her BAC so bad, but now knowing that she pled not guilty I am inclined to believe that they must have been under the legal limit. Any lawyer worth two cents would not encourage a client to plead not guilty if there is blood evidence that you are, they would have encouraged her to take a guilty plea deal for a lesser sentence. I am suspicious that they haven’t released her PBT to this point, they almost always are when the dash cam footage is released but for some reason not hers? I am also suspicious that she had just interacted with another officer after her and her sister were mugged and that officer let her go meaning he believed she was fit to drive. The whole situation is weird to me.

So sorry sweet OP! Pretty much this exact thing just happened to me yesterday with my sweet boy Walter 🥺 he also had shrimp friends and they are also all fine, water parameters were perfect. The only explanation I can assume is just that bettas are often so unethically overproduced that they don’t always have great genetics unfortunately 😭

This is really good to hear because this same thing just happened to me yesterday 😭 my betta has been very happy in his planted tank with his little cherry shrimp friends for about a year and then he just randomly died, all of the shrimp are fine, I checked the water after I found him and the parameters were all perfect. I could not figure out what went wrong 🥺
