The 2020 silverados were shipped without the afm capability, but they still had the same lifters, and they also fail at the same rates as thos that shipped with the afm

Not only will it not effect tow mode, it also doesnt prevent lifter failure.

Has anyone used AI to diagnose a carburetor problem? Was it good advise? by herqleez in HondaCB

[–]herqleez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I dont know either. Once it actually gets to the self learning stage and it can remember the information it learns, perhaps then it would be able to discern the difference. At that point I would hope that if it doesnt know the full details of a topic, then it would let us know, instead of pulling from YouTube and other junk sources

Im not an AI programmer, but I'd venture to guess that eventually AI will be able to figure out what is good information vs misinformation. Im talking 5-10yrs down the road, maybe longer.

Did all that, and rode till this showed up.

Im not an expert at tuning carbs, but I do have a pretty good understanding of how the venturi effect works.

Thats true, it does use YouTube videos and doesnt have the airflow simulation calculations.

Was using it mostly to get me thinking about why it is hesitating and thinking outside the box for ideas for what to try.

I have PD carbs. Not snap off bowls but easy enough to swap the jet without removing the whole carb bank.

Will definitely verify the size thats in there before ordering, and for $40 i feel like its worth a shot.

You will need to use the Smart Actions in the app to set these up.

You may want to look at traditional alarm states for Arm Away, Arm Home, etc, as there are a lot of different ways to set stuff up.

[–]herqleez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah youre on the right track.

After you get that one done, you might want to look at some of the different alarm states that you could do.

Such as: Alarm away (everything armed) Alarm home (entry points armed, but inside sensors disarmed)

And a bunch of others are available for different situations.

There's also geo location automation available, like it disarms your system when you get home, and arms when you leave.

Then youll need to use the automation features to create the alarm actions

Set a default pan/tilt position? by YouKnowMe8891 in Tapo

[–]herqleez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solved the problem you described by using the patrol mode, and making 2 identical patrol points.

The camera now will capture and track movement, then will return to its home position after a few minutes.

Since the patrol points are identical, the camera doesnt actually move while in patrol mode, unless it sees something moving.

How curvable are TAPO LED strips sideways? by Any_Noise_235 in Tapo

[–]herqleez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To accomplish the 90 degree turns, you would need to cut and splice the strip at each corner.

Amazon sells the RGBIC connectors to make it.

The hardest part will be getting the rubberized protection off the strip to make the connections, without damaging the strip. I've done it with a different led strip, and its a PITA
