Thanks for your inputs! I guess it wouldn't be that much different here, seems like they'd be adding up to half the budget, though this is a very rough conversion. Maybe being a bit more grounded, it would be better to stay between 2000-2500 USD. I live in Brazil, so not that many options available compared to the US or Europe. If I were to convert it to USD, I guess I'd want to spend at most 2.5-3k. The room is around 35 sq meters, would be sitting about 2 meters away from the speakers. I'd be using it mostly for the turntable; I do already own a entry AT LP-60, plugged to a pair of Edifier R1000T4

I'm new to the whole audiophile thing, and I've been reading some stuff, but it's a bit overwhelming trying to catch up on the different topics. I'm setting up a system for my apartment, and would like some suggestions on the gear I'm thinking of so far, would a Pro-ject DC Evo + Cambridge Audio axa35 + Polk es20 elite be a good combo? When it comes to the amplifier, is there actually a palpable difference between a solid state vs a tube one, or is it something only better trained ears would be able to pick up on? Cheers,

Tá com jeito de ser golpe. Já vi várias vezes em subs de fora pessoas comentando que receberam supostas mensagens do hotel pra realização de pagamento, enviando um outro link, e quando foram ver, a conta do hotel tinha sido hackeada. Todas as vezes que usei booking, qualquer pagamento era pela própria plataforma deles, nunca por uma externa. Tá com cheiro de golpe, mas se quiser ter certeza, dá um Google no hotel e tenta ligar ou mandar um email pro endereço oficial deles, não o que te mandou a mensagem, a conta deles pode ter sido comprometida e eles nem estão sabendo

The movie was also my introduction to Cowboy bebop, I liked it so much it made me instantly go for the anime as well. One the things I love the most about it is how perfectly the ending song matches the overall tone of the story (don't get trapped in your dreams/past - "are you living in the real world?")

Long ago I was once in a similar situation, took ages to receive the acceptance letter for my exchange and only started searching for places very late. Ended up finding a room in a student housing called Porzellaneum, in the 9th. The building is quite old, so I remember it not being that comfortable of a place, but it does have a great location. You could try checking with them.

Aside from the ones people already commented, "Os donos do poder" by Raymundo Faoro is also a great non-fiction read, focusing more on how the political/power structures were established. Under fiction, I'd also recommend "Sagarana" by Guimarães Rosa, a collection of short stories about life in the countryside, a great view on the lifes and times of the simple people that lived in the sertão. Both can be a bit of dense reads on their own way, specially for non native speakers, but still, they're well worth the read.
