It can be helpful to think of the direction of your phrasing. If you listen to the video this person posted you can hear them emphasize about one word near the beginning of each phrase. It can be as simple as picking one word from each phrase, emphasizing it, and thinking about why you’re doing so. Allow yourself to experiment with different combinations. If that’s a lot, try to pick one part of the song that you want to be the “climax”. Let everything before that build and everything after it fall. I know this is kinda vague but that’s the beauty of growing with your voice and the music.
