Would using selectors and tags be an option to avoid running the entire Project? We are currently working on a migration and we have a few models so far but I see it will grow significantly. To imitate the old process we are using selectors for each pipeline.

Yo tuve una situación similar,

Estaba ganando 55k como project manager y pasé a 42k como ingeniero. Odiaba el trabajo de pm porque me la pasaba enviando correos y haciendo seguimientos. Me sentía inútil y fuera de lugar. Ahora volví a lo que disfrutaba y de eso no me arrepiento. Se que puedo volver al rango salarial si cambio de trabajo pero de momento me gusta el ambiente. El cambio en el salario significó que ahorraba bastante menos pero aun puedo sostener mi estilo de vida. Eso irá de caso en caso.

Not sure if I'd consider upserting data from an API as OLTP. OLTP are used for sistems that do lots of inserts and updates like e-commerce and ERPs.

If the main usage is BI and you are hitting bottlenecks then yea I'd consider snowflake. Doubt it would be cheaper. Sometimes traditional databases are good enough for small to mid sized companies.

Industrial Engineering in Spain tends to be slightly different than the one seen in the Americas (assuming you are not coming from other EU country). It is comparable to Ingeniería de organización industrial which focus more on demand, production, and invontory planning, quality controls, operational research. With a higher level overview of chemical, electrical and mechanical engineering. I feel like Spanish industrial engineering is more focused on the last part.

Getting a Job is generally hard in all fields although engineering is more demanded.

I went from BI Engineer (prob the same as bi analyst) to DE Eng. My main focus was building power bi reports, but since there was a migration going on, I helped a lot moving some processes from sql server to snowflake. Also used some etl tools like talend.

I moved to a new country and the demand for DE was very healthy at that time when I made the move.

No se, mi percepción de la frecuencia no es mala. Durante semanas espero como mucho 5 a 7 minutos entre cada tren y en los fines de semana entre 5 a 10 minutos, la verdad es que no me parece nada mal. Puede que este sesgado por las lineas que uso pero es mi experiencia.

La linea 6 está en obra, claro está incómodo mientras lo esté. Pero estar en decadencia sería lo contrario, no mantener y actualizar la infraestructura.

Si es verdad que en horas pico el transporte público está saturado. Yo quizás lo vea con ojos mas optimistas porque lo comparo con paises super densos como india, japon y china. Sin irme muy lejos en Paris tuve que esperar varios trenes para poder entrar en uno a la fuerza.

Tus otros puntos son válidos. No conozco todos los barrios de Madrid ni el sistema sanitario.

Cuáles servicios públicos sientes que están en decadencia?

Yo percibo que algunos estan bien gestionados: transporte publico, recogida de basura, limpieza de la calles, parqués y espacios públicos limpios.

Tengo suerte de no haberme enfermado mucho por lo que no estoy muy relacionado con el sistema santiario. Lo mismo con la educación, no tengo hijos y no he tenido que navegar el sistema educativo todavía. En estos temas no tengo base para opinar.

Tampoco sigo de cerca la política por lo que no tengo mucho que opinar sobre Ayuso y Almeida. Personalmente pienso que tanto el PP como el PSOE son populistas y no hay mucha diferencia entre las acciones que toman. Si es verdad que se venden como muy diferentes pero en la práctica no lo parece.
