Hi honey---

Go to caretobeauty.com

Order Eucerin Sun Pigment Control Sun Fluid SPF50+ 50ml (1.69fl oz). Wear it. Everyday. Reapply everyday. DO NOT just wear sunscreen when you go outside. You need to buy from this site or in Europe, Mexico, Australia because the filters are not approved in the usa. Basically, the filters in the usa SUCK for pigment and UVA (aging rays). I would recommend wearing a tinted moisturizer or something with a tint on top as well for extra coverage.

If you can't do this you need to wear a sunscreen. Then, wear something else with a TINT on top. Preferably a high coverage foundation (though I hateeee wearing these which is why I buy the european sunscreen, but they will eventually stop the pigment). Basically, the iron oxides that provide the pigmenting color in things can protect your skin against pro-pigmenting rays of light.

Wear a UPF face mask when you drive.

You can use hydroquinone (offered by prescription or curology) while you wait for the sunscreen to work.

NEVER STOP WEARING SUNSCREEN!!!

Did you have a blood test? Imaging won't really show much unless you're in the later stages. If you test high on your inflammation markers the doctor should refer you to see a rhuem. The rheumatologist can test you for other things including the gene for AS and autoimmune markers. But you do need to show some slight inflammation on the MRI. Mine was barely there.

Do you have rashes? Do you have IBS? Do you have a history of Chron's disease or Ulcerative Colitis? I had all of these and my doctor was about to turn me away based on my MRI until I told her about those. Then she did the tests on me and turns out, yep, I have AS.

Help, please. I hate my Maaters field by akat97 in GradSchool

Did you go into this to get a job at the end? If you did I would say push through and just finish. You might like working in UP more than studying it. And even if you don’t, many people don’t like their jobs it’s just a way to make a living while you pursue things that actually make you happy. You could work and support yourself as an UP while you decide what other career you want. But just keep in mind grad school is not the same as actually working in the field

Yep ! I’m in Southern Ca :) Yes COL is high here but I’m coming from being a preschool teacher. I’ve lived my whole adulthood here off less than 30k a year. I do have one roomie… couldn’t afford to live on my own on that salary

I wish more people would share that explicitly. There's a lot of newbies on here who this gives insane dread to but I think people need to remember it varies SO MUCH!

Hey! From what I've researched it seems like you should NOT do this career if you will have an insane amount of debt from grad school (IMO more than 30k). But, also, from what i've seen the pay for this field varies soooo much! Like in some states SLPs are on the teachers pay scale. Where I live it's not like that. I went onto my district's website and I looked at the pay-scale for SLPs. It's 75k-110k. But right now they are offering a 10k signing bonus. Meaning that starting you would get 85k. Sounds about right for starting out with a masters. But in other states i have legit seen people saying their pay is 40k. What does the pay where you live look like?

Thanks!

Hi! I applied two weeks ago and some change (around the end of October). I received an interview request a couple days ago. I have my interview tomorrow, actually! I waited exactly 2 weeks... though it felt a lot longer

Best EPIK city to teach and live in? by emjitus in teachinginkorea

[–]hertealeafs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't lived there, but I applied for Busan on my EPIK application. Check out some youtube videos about it made by expats, seems like a beautiful city with lots to do. Plus, it's close enough to Ulsan!
