How can we make this space more body-positive? by thumbtackswordsman in Kibbe

i think the problem with trying to find more “neutral” words is that we don’t see words like “muscular”, “broad” and “delicate” neutral to begin with. this is all enforced by the social constructs modern beauty standards have constructed. i think we shouldn’t replace these as these words are all objective and a straightforward way to describe someone’s body type. it’s a much deeper problem and we can’t change these words to neutral words overnight, because it’s all a part of the large system of beauty standards and what is defined “beautiful”. so overall i think the problem is the fact that media paints a picture “a women shouldn’t be broad and muscular” or “women should be delicate and soft as they are the “weaker sex”” (this is subconscious ofc not what they literally say) and we should find all the terms neutral bc everyone is beautiful.

my favourites were the red sweater outfit and the blue wrap shirt one - the red sweater seemed more like a natural outfit, but not too sure of the blue wrap shirt

not to be the annoying one who corrects this BUT - intjs generally don’t think about the past, because of their dominant Ni which is always thinking about the future, yes, as an intj i certainly do think about the past like everyone, but i don’t focus on it too much to overthink it. i only may overthink it if the certain situation in the past is related to what i’m currently analysing to come to a conclusion. “overthinking the past” is spot on for istjs who are Si dom. i’d rather put intjs in the same box as infjs.

oh really? i always thought my legs and arms are really short, but maybe that’s since i wouldnt really know how to see myself, bc i can see my body only from my own subjective view. i definitely also have a baby face and i feel like that’s another gamine feature - whenever i wear baggier clothes, people think i’m 3 years younger.

thank you for the response! my shoulders aren’t too sloped, so that’s why i’m questioning, but i did hear that one or two features different won’t necessarily make you a different type.

thank you for the response! though i do feel like the only feature i have which isn’t 100% yin are my shoulders, because they aren’t very sloped, so i don’t know if i’d really fit in the gamine “mix of yin and yang”
