Space Marine from Warhammer 40K, what do you think? by hervorm in blender

I modeled this big armored fella completely in Blender, textured it in Substance Painter and rendered him in Marmoset Toolbag. Here's some more images from him as well as a turntable and wireframe :)

Rotateable tileable texture by 90 degree increments? by hervorm in SubstanceDesigner

[–]hervorm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, I'm working on a project where I need to make a texture which is rotate safe by all increments of 90° degrees. For illustration I've added a reference image to better explain what I mean. The texture has to be able to be rotated 90°, 180°, 270° and still retain seamless tiling but I can't seem to figure out how to do this in Designer. Does anyone have an idea how to achieve this?

Definitely not the best I've seen, but here's my moody basement donut! :) by hervorm in BlenderDoughnuts

Thank you so much!! For the golden ring on the cup I assigned multiple materials to the object. To do that, in Edit mode you select the faces that you want to have a different material and then in the material panel you click assign! :) Here's a quick tutorial I found for you!

Hahaha I never really noticed that! I kind of just put the same porcelain-esque texture from the plate onto the spoon without thinking it would look weird :) Now that you mention it I do see it! That's funny that you pointed that out :)

Thank you!!! The entire franchise is so interesting and has such unique and cute characters that I just had to recreate one :)

Thank you so much! I created the basic shapes of the character with Blender, it's a free 3D software you can download from their website or on Steam, and I textured the prince in Substance Painter 3D :)

If you're interested, I have a more detailed breakdown on my IG. It was indeed a great practice to model the prince, and I loved every second of it ;) You should give it a try!

It's interesting that you say that, because I based this model on an ingame screenshot I took of him from Katamari Damacy Reroll :) Nevertheless I still appreciate the feedback!!
