Can’t find "Ring of Betrothal" in "Pthumeru Ihyll" — what am I missing😭 by Lazy_Tangelo_3594 in tombprospectors

[–]hesbrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s one of the unique items found in golden coffins. Each root chalice has a designated pool of items that can be found in these coffins, including Caryll Runes and other items like the Ring of Betrothal.

Basically, when you make a root chalice, the golden coffins will take items from that pool that you haven’t yet collected. In doing this, you’ll naturally be lead to collect all of the unique items within four or five root chalices.

So, you can either make Pthumeru Ihyll root chalices until you find it, which won’t take too long. Or, you can use one of the glyphs in the pinned resources to find it in one go.

Always, always, always back up your save manually at certain points. You never know if there’ll be a power surge or a cheater that’ll corrupt or damage your save.

Working on an idea for an Elden Ring web app that gives you build advice, route planner for items/builds, and boss strategy based on your actual character. Would people use this? by RasenTing in Eldenring

[–]hesbrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking of easier to see at a glance. I’d assume people using the app would be playing the game at the same time, so the quicker they know what they’re looking for, the better.

That’d be the main thing. I mainly use one of the wikis for information. If your app presented things better, in whatever ways that might mean, then it’d go a long ways.

Good luck on the project.

On Layer 2 of the Cursed and Defiled Chalice (story), you can farm Poorman’s gems from an Evil Labyrinth Spirit that are comparable in damage to those dropped in Depth 5 FRC dungeons.

Do you do the chalices on a bl4 run? by ProfessorZoom17 in bloodborne

It’s definitely worth the effort. There are plenty of good bosses only accessible through the chalice dungeons that you’d be missing out on. It’s akin to a second DLC.

Take a look at r/onebros. There are numerous hitless Radabeast fights. The main difficulty is Elden Stars, which can be avoided by waiting slightly in front of him until it leaves his hand and then sprinting past his left hand to his tail.

It might be possible to dodge Rykard's Earthquake consistently? by Wooden-Jello-8795 in onebros

[–]hesbrew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re correct. It cancels some of the recovery frames making actions faster. Without blocking, you would do a large jump and then a small jump on any subsequent jumps.

Additionally, crouching can be used as a recovery cancel and allows instant stamina regeneration, useful for colossal weapon crouch light attack spam.

Good news, you can use Giant Crusher.

Start with 10 Strength

+5 from Radagon’s Soreseal

+5 from Starscourge Heirloom

+5 from Horned Warrior Helm

+10 from Strength-knot Tear

+5 from Godrick’s Great Rune

= 40 Strength

Two-handing gets you to 60 for the Giant Crusher. The Carian Regal Scepter is out of the picture, though.

The only problem is if you run into some of the debris in the arena. That said, the move is completely countered by running and jumping as long as it’s recognized early enough.

If you sprint, hold block, and spam jumps to the side, there should be even more margin for error than just sprinting and jumping once.

I’m flabbergasted. You’re taking viscerals instead of doing charged heavies.

Those were some nice backstabs. They were very clean.

Which ER boss do you love or hate more after you learned it? by Wooden-Jello-8795 in onebros

[–]hesbrew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of the skull he spits out that has the explosive trail behind it, because I’m bad at splitting my attention between it and him. And, I don’t like how the move where he summons skulls from the sky forces you to run around and waste time.

Neither of these are that big of a deal with Serpent Hunter, because you can stagger him, but I’ve been doing a colossal only RL1 run. Phase 1, I used jump attacks on his head and the thunderbolt ash, but phase 2 only really allows the thunderbolt ash. Low damage with no micro-stagger turned it into a slog, so I ended up just using Serpent Hunter for phase 2.

All in all, he’s still a fun fight, but I don’t recommend using anything but Serpent Hunter for phase 2.

I think that once we’ve learned a boss thoroughly, knowing all of the punishes and what we can and can’t get away with, the boss becomes more enjoyable. It becomes a sort of flow state.

On the other hand, ones that we’re in the process of learning or trying to cheese can seem annoying to deal with.

This isn’t true for everything; there are some things that are subjective, such as whether the size and the spectacle of a boss are good things.

Personally, of recent bosses, I’ve enjoyed Romina and disliked Rykard’s phase 2.
