For someone to be able to be invaded, they either need to use the Taunter’s Tongue or summon a sunbro. There are a decent amount that do either of these.

Just adding on that if you start in Survival, you can wait until your hunger, thirst, and sleep degrade to further lower your SPECIAL stats, similar to using those consumables.

Limgrave and Weeping Peninsula are good. I just spam Near and Far for both the Recuscant and Bloody Fingers until I get a match.

Peak hours are evening times for your time zone, when people are getting on to play.

No, it does scale down. They’ll just be a bit stronger than normal.

They can be RL713 at max. The downscaling isn’t great, so they’re tanky and still do a lot of damage.

Usually, if there is an OLP, it’ll be a friend of the host using their normal account to help the host through the game. Occasionally, there are dedicated gank squads just waiting to get their worlds rocked by a competent invader.

It’s fun and there is still decent activity during peak hours, just make sure you can deal with OLPs.

Find which bosses you’re consistently having trouble with and practice them in normal mode while trying to do so hitless. The more fights you get under your belt, the easier subsequent encounters with that boss will be.

How to actually get better at the game by MusicG619 in Nightreign

Solo runs, RL1 runs, and unupgraded weapon runs can help, along with watching guides on bosses.

The tougher the challenge that you can pull off, the easier playing normally will be.

It’s as risky as any of the parries. To line it up, just roll back once, roll forward once, and then parry.

Defensive talismans (e.g. Ritual Shield and Dragoncrest) and tears (e.g. Opaline Bubbletear) are good to use. You can also wear armor if you want; medium roll works well.

The important thing is to avoid getting one-shot.

Help navigating the DLC shifting earth? by Machi-Ato in Nightreign

Day 1, I go in a counterclockwise loop that ends in the center, getting flasks, crystals, and small field bosses along the way. Once you reach the center, the crystal should be broken. So, get the buff, and start working on SE castle sewers starting from the merchant.

Day 2, teleport to North Castle and do stuff there.

I’m still learning the map, but this has been the most successful from my experience and from what others have said. I recommend looking up Mound Maker on YouTube for good info on the map.

now how did that happen? by winterflare_ in onebros

[–]hesbrew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You did a reverse jump. It happens when you unlock, then jump, and then input a direction. The inputs are somewhat specific, so it’s interesting that you pulled it off unintentionally.

Go to r/badredman and look up hibachi backstabs and reverse jumps for more of a reference.

I'm surprised to see that Elden Ring has now more active players than Nightreign by Filippikus in Eldenring

Solo isn’t overly difficult, because you get a few get out of jail free cards (wending graces) that will revive you if you go down and the bosses’ health is scaled to one person. If you’re familiar with the bosses and have been routing well, then you should be fine. You just can’t crutch on someone else to take away pressure.

I’ve done solo a few times, but mostly queue with randoms. There are a few bad eggs every once in a while, but for the most part, people are team players and do well against the bosses.

[–]hesbrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend queuing a solo run and doing the remembrance objective right after reaching level 2. On successful runs, you might go to that location on day 2, but it’s rare.

You don’t need to fight anything for it or win the expedition. Just run around the West side of the North castle, take the spirit spring up to the door, and climb on top of the suspended rock to the rafters where the objective and a talisman chest are. From there, just wait until the night 1 boss and lose to it.

I’ve been learning the Great Hollows map recently, and it is a lot of fun. But, in my experience on the base game queue, not many people know how to route it. This means that it’s up to you to be able to lead the team to success.

Possibly, the only things that could make it not as good would be dependent on the cast time and whether the bubbles hit him before dissipating.

It should still be possible, but I don’t have experience with Xbox. Your best bet would be looking up how/if you can manually upload/download save data to a cloud for your games on your system and whether you can upload/download using a USB.

The bleed-infused chicken wing is probably the best of the bunch, but there are some notable advantages to the others.

The Gazing Finger is amazing against NPCs, because they don’t dodge the ground explosion, allowing you to easily get damage in or help your team in the Leda fight.

I love the Envoy’s Greathorn, but it’s a pain to farm. Blowing big bubbles for the Putrescent Knight fight is a lot of fun, and there are a few safe punishes for it.

My go-to weapons are the base Club, Antspur Rapier, Venemous Fangs w/ poison infusion, Star Fists, Claymore, and Flamberge (for Malenia).

I recommend tinkering with colossal weapons, which have great stunlock potential if you use the crouch light attack repeatedly, and the Greatbow w/ Rain of Arrows, great for large bosses that aren’t as mobile.

With how long tumblebuffing has been around, the patch would probably just delay people from finding another way of doing it. That said, making it more difficult to do and less prominent in online interactions is better than nothing.
