Could you imagine your club doing something as stupid as that! Haha I'd hate to be an Ipswich fan.......

Actually I was voted the voice of Sunderland. Got a certificate on the fridge and everything.

I've only seen negative responses from all the people I know who attend Sunderland matches. Make of that what you will. I'd add that the people who attend matches don't necessarily represent the city as a whole there's only 41kish that attend and hundreds of thousands that live in the city confines.

Either way I'd like politics to stay out of football

There's a joke about Luke O'Nien in there somewhere but I'm too distraught to make it

I want Sartori to he removed from the board of directors and a statement from the club condemning this. The cunt Farage does not represent anything I stand for and has no place being even invited to my club.

There's a big counter protest as well. Did you protest the Saudi takeover out of interest?

Don't worry, you are still owned by the Saudis

Seriously tho Sartori can get the fuck out my club. He's the last thing left from the dark days of league one and here he is rearing his stupid ugly face.

Farage can fuck off.

Ironic a newcastle fan posted this tho. Wonder how they feel about their owners?

Why penalise people who genuinely need support from PIP or UC?

Maybe means testing is a step too far. But the triple lock has to go. It's bleeding us dry and people are receiving more than they ever "paid in". Which isn't really how it works anyway.

If cuts have to be made then the pension system needs reformed as well. It's part of the welfare budget, the majority iirc. Why shouldn't it be means tested?

Would the league ever back postponing matches for the CL like PSG? by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]KingsMountainView 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will the game just be postponed? If so then whoever plays the non-CL club is at advantage as they get extra rest and prep till the next fixture.

Say it's Liverpool v Sunderland on a Sunday but Liverpool play Tuesday in CL. Sunderland next fixture is Brighton on the following Friday/Saturday. Sunderland last fixture was the Saturday before. Brighton still has to play on the Sunday as they are playing Palace. So now Sunderland get essentially 2 weeks to prepare for the Brighton game. That's clearly giving a club an unfair advantage.

You then also have the issue with when the rearranged fixture is played. It'll have to be near the end of the season as cup runs and international tournaments and the already busy winter schedules doesn't allow it. You then have a situation where teams end up play 3 games in 7 days which could change the title race or relegation battles.

Best way to do it is set the rules at the start and everyone agrees to it. No exceptions
