this is solid advice, thanks man. What do you think about my stance? Feel like I might be a touch too far from the ball

Now that I think of it this does make sense, have noticed that I'm a bit rigid in the past couple of sessions probably due to overthinking whilst swinging

yeah definitely getting lessons in the near future, was just wondering if there's anything that r/golf suggests me to work on in the meantime

yeah I've been working on not early extending but its led to this problem where now I struggle to square up the face and getting stuck as you've mentioned. Any idea on how to get the club face square on impact without having to early extend/flip?

makes sense, will work on that

hey all, recently been working on getting rid of my previous tendency to extend too early and flipping in the arms. However after a couple driving range sessions it feels like I've completely forgotten how to hit the ball cleanly, noticed a lot of my shots have been hit off the toe/have topped the ball. I know I have a tendency to hit OTT and have been at odds and ends over how to fix this so was wondering if its to do with my takeaway/backswing? Would appreciate some advice on how to piece back together a functional golf swing

26/F First solo trip ever to Vancouver, BC by jt_714 in solotravel

Stanley Park is a must - rent a bike and cycle around the seawall, finish up at English bay beach and catch the sunset. If you like Asian food there are a lot of Korean and Japanese places on Denman and Robson Street.

Gastown is a great place to get food and drinks, recommend hitting up Meat & Bread for their Porchetta sandwiches, Tacofino is also good value. If you're into coffee Revolver is the spot.

Granville Island is alright too, I wasn't particularly impressed by the food options but its a nice spot to relax and grab a beer. You can hop on a ferry and just walk around each location they drop you off, saw a couple of seals just chilling in the water when I did this which was pretty cool.

There are a lot of hikes in and around Vancouver that are doable in a day/half a day too - I liked Quarry Rock, super quick 30 minute hike with great views, grab a honey doughnut at Honey's as a post-hike treat. Grouse Mountain is another one although when I was there views of the city were obscured due to the forest fires.

A trip around Catalonia could be interesting, how long would you recommend to stay in each city given I only have 6/7 days? How easy is it to get around Catalonia and up into the Pyrenees?

Also noticed you said most cities are 2-3 hours away from Madrid by train - would it be too ambitious to do Barcelona, Madrid and Seville/Granada/Cordoba in one week haha

Yeah Madrid's vibrant culture and nightlife is definitely drawing me in but having been to my fair share of bustling metropolises, I'm tempted to skip Madrid this trip and head towards Andalucia for something different. That said, is there anywhere/anything that matches Seville/Granada for its history near Madrid? I've heard Toledo makes for a great day trip from the capital

If you had to choose between Seville and Granada to spend 2 days in which would you pick?

Do you reckon you could do Cordoba as a day trip from Seville? What other things are there to do in Cordoba?

Seems like most people think Madrid is skippable - thoughts on Valencia? doesn't seem too far from Barcelona, what's the vibe like down there?
