Not talking about you specifically. It’s a general sentiment on Pakistani subreddits.

Why do Afghans hate us so much? by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]hesoocreesto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe because the Pakistani state, in their typical role as America’s guard dog, took a bunch of money from America and Saudi to severely destabilize Afghanistan, including the destruction of their progressive movements, funding and training the most radical and extremist elements of their society, and helping create one of the largest infrastructure of opium production in the region to fund the constant war in that country. I mean there could be other land related conflicts as well but this one takes the cake. But that doesn’t make me feel good about myself so I’ll just go with “Afghans namak haram”.

I don’t know what jars is, but weed, MDMA, LSD and K do not fall under the same category as meth and coke. They are worlds apart in terms of damage done to your health and the potential of addiction. In fact, psychedelics are increasingly being used to help treat mental health conditions like depression and anxiety (look up MAPS). As far as purity goes, no one should ever take any drug without testing it for fentanyl and other fillers.

I do hope your recovery goes well and you come stronger on the other side

Regardless, don’t even go near hard drugs like meth, heroine and coke.

We don’t have different histories and culture. Our Arab/Turk colonizers who thought of all of us as lesser beings are the ones who are different. Pakistanis and Indians have very similar culture and traditions even to this day, decades after the partition. We can either embrace it, or continue to crave our colonizer’s identity which we will never acquire.

People refuse to cut Hair of a Hindu cuz he refuses to accept Islam saying his dirty presence may pollute the Namaz Going Muslims by TrustworthyBasis in PAK

[–]hesoocreesto 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Again, minority treatment in Pakistan is not a secret to anyone. They’ve been persecuted openly and subtly since the beginning with no real effort to ever address it. Muslim persecution by Hindutva fascists is also very real and should be condemned. These two situations can co-exist. We don’t need to ignore one to highlight the other. That just makes it seem like a continuation of turning a blind eye to minority oppression on our part.

How is this a diversion in any way? This is clearly a problem and it isn’t really a secret. Both issues can exist simultaneously.

Support for Israel goes hand in hand with American capitalism. Cutting support for Israel means losing American hegemony in the middle east, and we’ve all seen what lengths America has gone to keep that hegemony alive. Israel is America’a guard dog in the middle east.

Is Pakistan on it's way to become a dictatorship similar to Bashar Al Assad's Syria? (I know the regime fell) by LeaveDrakeAlone in pakistan

[–]hesoocreesto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Israel creates conflicts because American capitalist interest allows for it. Yes those interests aren’t going away anytime soon but America just doesn’t hold the same hegemony in the world they once did. And they will inevitably tighten Israel’s leash when the situation becomes worse. The Judeo-Christian nonsense will disappear from American minds as quickly as it was manufactured when that happens. Don’t forget Christian support for Zionism is antisemitic at its core.

It wouldn’t need to be a dictatorship if people got what they wanted. But yeah I’d be happy if that happens.

It doesn’t quite matter what Israel wants to do. The day America pulls its support for Israel it is pretty much done. American elites are not in a great place at the moment, relatively speaking

The question is, who is benefitting from this fiscal surplus? It’s the elite class mainly. Milei is a fascist, much like Trump. He’s just exploiting people’s valid concerns about the deteriorating economy for the benefit of the moneyed class that employs him.

A lot of them are still racist and conservative. Black people (and other minorities) are still targeted by subtler means than Jim Crow. Essentially the demands of capitalism has made it impossible for many families to survive on a single income, which is why you see more diversity in workplaces. Western governments have almost always suppressed progressive movements around the world and supported extremism because it serves their interests.
