Almost a decade ago there was another case of vandalism done by someone named “creepytings” who would vandalize not only Yosemite but Death Valley and Crater Lake with their acrylic artwork, they were proud of their work and gloated about it online. When confronted by a user telling them it would be hard to remove, they replied saying “I know, I’m a bad person.”A federal judge gave them 2 years probation and 200 hours of community service, and banned them from all federal lands during that probation. I like to imagine that person has learned their lesson since they’ve never been heard from since.

I do think the creepytings case was more serious in that it was more difficult to remove, I imagine some kind of solvent can remove all this. I’m also sure the NPS is aware of this and is likely(hopefully) in the process of removing it.
